LTE6234DO Whirlpool Thin Twin-No hot water

There is no hot water getting past the inlet valve, I have checked the supply line to the washer and there is hot water. There is only cold water filling the tub, whether it is set for cold, warm or hot wash. Everything else works fine.

I checked the filter, not clogged. I reversed the hot and cold inlets and now I get hot water only, when I put the temp switch on Hot Wash there is nothing; when I put it on Warm Wash or Cold Wash the water flows regardless of which inlet hose I hook up to the hot inlet valve.

I will order a new part and reply after I try it.

    Thanks

Check the inlet on the hot water hose for a clogged filter.

The inlet valve that the hoses attach too the solenoid for the hot side may be stuck closed or clogged with sediment. May need new inlet valve.

How to replace a water inlet module for a Whirlpool thin twin.. The cold water trickle in. Take forever to fill then it stops altogether without advancing

It sounds like either a faulty inlet valve/solenoid or something is restricting the water flow through the valve like a clogged strainer screen or calcification from the actual water passing through it. A similar question has been posted but was for the hot water side of the control valve assembly -

What does "HC" mean?

The HC code indicates that the computer thinks the cold water inlet is getting hot water. The hot water inlet has the cold water coming in. Take off the inlet hoses and double check your water lines. If needed, swap the connections. While you have the hoses off, clear the filters and check for leaks. Check the flow rate and replace the hoses if the water flow is restricted. (Anti-burst hoses can reduce the flow when they detect a leak.)

If the hot water supply is correctly connected to the hot water inlet, then the electronic control board is getting faulty information. Unplug the washer for several minutes. If the code repeats, then the valve may be faulty. Alternative causes of the problem are the hoses, the wiring or the control board.

I hope this helps.

Thin Twin has a slow water drip when not running

If it drips while the washer is off then you will need to replace the "water inlet valve". Here is the part you need. Here is the service manual to show you how to access the valve and replace it.

We have a Whirlpool Duet HT washer. Due to the freeze, and burst pipes, we haven't used it for a few days, but got the cold water line fixed. However, when we started the washer, it came up with an F20...

"F20" is a No Water Detect error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. This can be a potential problem with the following:

If you have NO water in the wash tub, check the following:

- Inlet water valve may be clogged. Clean inlet screens if necessary.
- Make sure water taps are on.
- Check inlet hoses for kinks or clogs.

If you do not have the hot water line fixed, then that is where your problem is. The washer looks for water supply on both lines. It will still work, but you will get this error.

Won't fill - where is the water inlet valve

should be behind the washer where the hose connects from the washer to the supply. if you have a basement follow the water lines till you find it. it may be under your home if you have a crawl space...usually its behind the washer

Water goes in very slow. Cleaned the intake filter where the hoses connect.IS the valve worn out to where it does not open all the way?

Check if the volume of water supplied to the washer from the water line through the hoses attached to it is good. If yes, the screen inside the water-inlet valve if it is clean. If clean, the water inlet valve is defective and you need to replace it. The water inlet valve is located inside the washer on the upper back portion. It is where the water supply hoses are attached to.

Cold water trickes in very slowly SM 8525147-A

It could be that you have some sediment build-up that has clogged the sediment screens on your supply hoses. You'll need to remove them from both the supply valve and the washer to get everything cleaned out and working properly again.

Turn off the water supply valves to both the cold and hot water hoses and remove them from the washer and the supply valve. Check inside the washer water inlets and see if there are sediment screens inside the hot and cold water inlets. If so, remove them using a small pick so you can flush them out of any debris, as you want them as clean as possible. Also check the hoses to see if they have screens in them at both ends, if so, remove them and clean them too.

Put everything back and you should be all set. IF, however, there isn't any sediment buildup in the screens and hoses, you'll have to replace the washer's water inlet valve, as it controls the flow of water into the washing machine.

As you didn't provide a model number for your washer, you'll have to go to www.searspartsdirect.com and enter in the full, complete model number so you can check for any replacement parts you might need. The site also has a line drawing and parts lists for appliances, so it's helpful when you're undertaking a repair.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

LTE6234 Whirlpool Twin Thin Timer Broken?

Check for voltage at the water inlet valve with the timer dial pushed in or in an off position. If no voltage replace the water valve. If you do have voltage you'll have to trace the circuits back from the water valve to the line. One point of demarcation is the water level switch. Pull the violet colored wire and see if it still fills while off. If it does it's likely the timer's bad.
