Vizio TV model XVT553SV will not turn on, replaced power cord with new one from Vizio ?

Hi Jeannette, it would be VERY rare for a power cord to cause a set not to work. Is the set totally dead or do you get the standby lamp when you plug the set in?

Where is the reset button on a ED25SM Whirlpool refrigerator

refrigerators do not have a dedicated reset button, but you can, however, reset your refrigerator in the event of a technical problem.
resetting the main unit
  • 1 Turn the refrigerator's temperature control switch to "Off."
  • 2 Unplug the power cord.
  • 3 Plug the power cord back into the wall.
  • 4 Turn the control knob to adjust it to the temperature you want. leave cord unplugged for about 30 seconds. hope this helps ! good-day !

    I have a Hoover Mach 2.7 Windtunnel that shut off during use and wouldn't turn back on. Was doing kitchen floor and running fine. Though a breaker tripped but didn't...what could it be?

    Hello,

    It sounds like your thermal reset switch inside of your Hoover may have gone bad. When a vacuum cleaner doesn't turn on it, it's either caused by one of four things.
    1. Electrical Short in your Cord.
    2. Plug has gone bad.
    3. Motor of your vacuum is faulty
    4. The On / Off Switch has gone bad, and/or your Thermal Reset Switch has gone bad
    Since this happened while you were vacuuming, I would guess that this is either your electrical plug that's shorted out, or that your thermal reset switch has shorted out. Your model Hoover was built with a protection system that is supposed to automatically shut down your machine if it senses any excessive heat. This mechanism is controlled by a Thermal reset switch which is located in motor compartment. This part is notoroious for failing, even when there's no overheating that's occured.

    Before you disassemble the entire machine to check this part though, I would try testing the On / Off switch in your machine, as well as testing the electrical cord, which will also let you know if your plug has gone bad.

    Here's a link to a solution I've done here on FixYa explaining how to check the On / Off switch;
    http://www.fixya.com/support/r4530569-replace_off_switch_hoover_windtunnel

    While you have this apart, you can use the same electrical tester to test your cord. Simply put one end of the test into the terminal from the switch, and the other end of the test on one of the metal prongs that plugs into the wall. See if you have continuity here, if not, switch to the other prong of the plug and see if this helps.

    If not continuity, this means your plug, or your cord has failed. If you do have continuity, this means that it's either the On / off switch, or the Thermal Reset Switch that's gone bad.

    Here's a link to the solution that I've done on here showing how to replace the Thermal Reset Switch on your vacuum cleaner:

    The vacuum was on when my son tripped the cord and one prong broke off in the outlet. We patched on another cord. It won't turn on tried other outlets. Can't find reset switch, is there one or did we...

    Maybe you got the wires crossed between the two cords. Vacuums have polarized plugs and if wired imcorrectly can definitely cause the vacuum to not work. Try switching over.
    In other words, consider current wires as A1/A2 and B1/B2. Disconnect, then connect A1 to B2 and A2 to B1.

    vacuum===============A1 A2=======Plug
    ===============B1 B2=======Plug

    Switch to
    vacuum===============A1 B2=======Plug
    ===============B1 A2=======Plug

    Try this and see what happens.

    We just bought the floor model of the weslo cadence 58 treadmill and it wont work, we have the key, but it is not working. is there a switch we should be turning on to get it to work?

    Plug in the power cord . Next, locate the reset/off circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord. Switch the circuit breaker to the reset position. Then put your safety key and it should start up for you.

    Readoout says

    1. Turn machine OFF and unplug electrical cord from wall or power strip.
    2. Turn ON printer without the power cord plugged in (this will discharge the power capaciter in the printer).
    3. Plug electrical power back in and turn on printer...
    4. It should have reset.

    Another possibility:
    The scanner arm has the physical "lock" switch in the locked possition. Turn OFF printer and move the switch to the unlock position. Turn on printer.
    This switch is for whenever the printer is moved to a different location and will protect the scanning bar.

    Hope this helps!

    Battery Won't Charge

    Hey Guest9,
    You can try resetting the camera by removing the memory card and the battery, pushing a straightened paperclip into the reset switch inside the battery compartment, and reinstalling the battery. If this works put the memory card back in. Another option you have is to try formatting the memory card.

    Sincerely,
    Allan
