None of the power locks work. They don't lock or unlock from any of the interior buttons. They don't lock or unlock when I turn the key one way or another in the door. They don't lock or unlock from the key fob, although I do get the horn honk when I press "lock" twice on the key fob.
The locks don't work from the buttons inside the vehicle, and the horn honks when I press the lock button on the fob twice. This makes me think the fob works. The power locks don't work. Maybe it's a simple fuse. The locks don't work from the buttons inside the vehicle, and the horn honks when I press the lock button on the fob twice. This makes me think the fob works. has no relays that you can change or test , internal to the vehicle security module . Principles of Operation Power Lock
The power lock/unlock feature requests all of the vehicle doors, including the liftgate, be locked or unlocked upon a customer request from any interior door lock switch in the vehicle. The power door locking system functions independently of ignition status or vehicle speed. When the vehicle security module receives an unlock/lock command from any door lock control switch, the vehicle security module will activate relays internal to the module to supply the correct power and grounds for the door lock actuators. Your best bet , have a qualified repair shop check it out .
The power door locks are controlled by a Body computer or GEM module . Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop because you don't have a clue .
In this case it is usually necessary to remove the interior panels of the liftgate to gain access to the linkage inside. The only problem is: removal of those panels is much more difficult with the liftgate closed. Take to a professional, or risk breaking the attachment points of your panels, and associated fasteners. I usually charge around 50 to 100 dollars to get these open, then an additional charge for further work to repair the lock, latch, or linkage.
Sounds like the security system is armed. It is designed to disable the starter. If you don't have a key fob for the alarm, try locking and un-locking the driver's door with the key to disarm. If that doesn't work, look for a very small black button or toggle switch that will either be taped to wiring under the driver's side or the dash, or mounted to the very bottom of the dash above the driver's legs.
possible latch became diconnected in door , do you hear lock activate when unlocking or locking door to see if motor is working ,did you try using manual lock button should move up and down, try this while using power locks ,it may be just stuck,
this is a problem that can appear after your car battery died, cause the car didn't reset propely, so taking the battery out and putting it back in or letting your car die again would do the trick. I tried a lot of reprogramming procedured for my remote key, none of them worked, what did the trick though was simply unlocking the doors via the all door unlock button on the passenger side door, so simple.
