I'm leaning towards your TFI module on the Dizzy. They get hot from engine and are a known issue by ford. I included a picture of what the TFI or ignition module looks like in your Stang. Be sure to tell the store clerk if you have a auto or manual when you purchase one Good Luck Ryan MN
Sounds like you have an internal fault (probably on the power supply board) This is the board that generates the various voltages for the various parts of the tv circuitry. The best is to take it to reputable tv repairer(just what you didnt want to hear hey)
I may know the problem, but without the model number I can not be sure. Can you please post the model number? Also, when the set is on, does the standby light continue to blink?
