To RESET the Netgear, power up the Netgear then press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router until all the LEDs flash.
Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on your computer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = password
You can now change the default admin password and configure the wireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

My Kobo Arc 32, asked for a password, when I tried to try the WiFi. I don't remember setting a password. So, now it's asking for an guest password.

It is not the Kobo that has set the password, rather the router for the wifi that you are trying to connect to. You just need to know the password for the router to let you connect. If a router has no wifi password, it is considered unsecured and ANYONE can access it. So most all routers use password protection. If it is YOUR wifi system, and you no longer know the password, you can change it if you access the router setup for wireless and change the password. Be advised, however, that all devices that connect to the wifi will need to change their passwords as well or not be connected. If it is not your wifi you are trying to connect to, then you need to obtain the wifi password from that wifi system's administrator.

Connecting a genbook to wifi

Turn on your computer and locate the Wi-Fi icon.

This is located in the system tray in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

The icon looks like a series of rectangles that increase in size from left to right.

Right-click the Wi-Fi icon and select "Connect to a network." You will see a list of available wireless networks.

Choose a Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and select "Connect."

Enter the password into the password text box if a password is required. If a password is not required, you will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Click "OK."

Password to connect

you will have to contact the person who configured the router, they will have the encryption password. If it is your device and you forgot the password you will need to connect through the devices web interface and reset the password. If you forgot the admin password to the access point your only option is to factory reset the device and reconfigure it.

I have problem setting up my wireless network and redirecting my wireless client to my local webpages before they can access to internet.   see this diagram below :...

you need to replace your modem with a router that is capable of running Network Address Translation. You are trying to route private IP's (192,168.x.x) over the public IP (internet) network.

Have a d-link router with password. Ipod touch(8G) won't connect

Try remove the password on D-Link router, put it on open conditions (no security enabled). It should work.
If still won't connect, try using laptop or any wireless device to connect to router(without password), if connect, then there's something wrong with your Ipod.

Random wrong passwords

Any router that your connecting to wireless, without a password, does not have wireless security set up on the router.

Any other wireless router that you are trying to connect to that does not allow you to connect wireless, has wireless security set up and that same security must be set up on the wireless device (like laptop or desktop, whatever is not connected via ethernet cable.).

Reply back what you find and I will be glad to help more.

New dial up connection with the “Save Password” option enabled

After setting up the MobilePro 900 for the first time (or after a hard reset), a soft reset is required to correctly save the dial-up networking passwords for remote networking. If your MobilePro 900 is already configured with a RAS connection that will not authenticate, you can do the following to fix the issue: * 1. Use the stylus to depress the reset button located on the bottom of your MobilePro 900 and allow it to reboot. * 2. Tap Start a Programs a Communications a Remote Networking. * 3. Open the dial-up connection by double-tapping the icon, just as if you were going to connect. Ensure the user name is correct and re-type your password making sure there the “Save password” option is checked. * 4. Tap the “Connect” button to save your password. If you do not tap the connect button, the password will not be saved correctly.
