To RESET the Netgear, power up the Netgear then press and
hold the RESET button at the back of the router until all the LEDs flash.
Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on your
computer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = password
You can now change the default admin password and configure
the wireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption
to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

Turn on your computer and locate the Wi-Fi icon. This is located in the system tray in the bottom-right corner of the screen. The icon looks like a series of rectangles that increase in size from left to right. Right-click the Wi-Fi icon and select "Connect to a network." You will see a list of available wireless networks. Choose a Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and select "Connect." Enter the password into the password text box if a password is required. If a password is not required, you will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network. Click "OK."
