Honda Harmony II HRR216 won't start

I've had someone's Honda Harmony II HRR216 sitting in my shed for 3 years and I recently got it out to see if I could get it working. I drained and replaced the gas and oil, the spark plug and air filter are both new, but the mower still will not start. Any and all advice welcome!

Check for spark of smell of gas on the plug when you try to start it. That will tell you if it is fuel or ignition

SOURCE: yard machine 21'' push mower runs 2 to 3 seconds cuts off.

Tip the mower up on it's side with the dipstick tube on the down side and collect it in a suitable container. The gas you can do the same. When I drain old fuel, I mix it with a lot of fresh fuel and a bottle of dry gas then run it in my car.

You may have to replace the carb. But before you do.Check the the fuel line. There is a small screen in the carb,it may be clogged.Inside the tank is a small cylindrical filter, make sure it is good.Break the fuel line at the in line filter,to make sure gas is getting to there,if it is the problem is in the carb.

The first thing I would check is the park brakes coming fully off when released. If the units are rusted and stiff you will have dragging brakes which will give the symptoms you describe. After all it has been sitting for a year with the park brake on.
