My craftsman ZTS 7000 42" zero turn mower wil not go forward or reverse. It has hydraulic drive. It has been on ramps and stands for nearly a month while I rebuilt the deck and replaced the bearings in the spindles.

SOURCE: craftsman 42 inch deck won't run

Check proper belt routing. These models are a little tricky. Also check tensioner spring.

SOURCE: How do I remove the spindle from the deck of a Craftsman mower.

Put your blade back on so you will have some backup on the nut. Wedge a piece of 2x4 between the blade and deck to hold the shaft while you take off the nut. You should do that before unbolting the spindle. If you are just replacing bearings, you don't have to unbolt the spindle at all. Just remove the pulley on top and the shaft with blade attached will slide out the bottom. The botton bearing, however, will be on the shaft and is difficult to get off. I use a bearing splitter to get it down far enough to drive off the shaft.

SOURCE: I have a craftsman zts 7500 zero turning radius 26

i going to assume that yr tractor does have the hydrolic p.t.o. that controls the drive and cutting mechanism's???... if so you might start with checking the hydrolic fluid in the resevior. or you might check into replacing the hydrolic p.t.o. pump , if you ran the tractor in heavy work without any hydrolic fluid in the p.t.o. pump the pump is probably burnt up. if so im sure you can beat the cost of a new pump by rebuilding it yrself with a kit.

SOURCE: NO FORWARD NO REVERSE

I had the same problem so I looked under the mower and the belt that goes from the engine to the back of the mower was off so I pushed the clutch as far forward as I could and the belt went on it and it worked

I have a craftsman rider LT2-2000 I can't find a pin or lever to pull to push in reverse when not running anyone know where to find it

all the riding mowers free wheel rods are on the back of the mower below the fender with a locking mechanism, zero turns are either under the seat where the hydraulic pumps are or under the mower but above the deck there's 2 rods on every zero turn. not all the riding mowers have the roll rod some just have neutral and the machine rolls, check your brakes under the back transmission just jiggle the brake and it should unloosen and free roll I hope at least some of this information helps you if not now then in the future

Zero turn will not move forward reverse or turn

These units use Hydraulic pumps for motivation. If the unit stopped all at one time, I suspect a drive belt came off.
For both pumps to fail at the same time would be very odd. Check the v-belt driving the wheel pumps.

Tried every model number under the sun at Sears' sites, including the ones Sears actually posted on the ZTS7000 page with no luck. Finally found a manual here: http://www.poweruplawncare.com.au/craftsman/owners_man/ZTR28006.pdf
