Dvd is in the unit but will not play or eject. screen says loading. I did have a dead battery last week and my van had to be jumped BUT the light on the player is on and the screen is on so I don't think it is a fuse.
The Honda dealer just wanted to replace my entertainment center without even troubleshooting and I wasn't convinced that it was "broken" so I found the FIXYA website and saw that others had the same problem and I followed their instructions and it now works fine. I am going to call the Honda dealer to complain because they should have known this.
We simply pulled the fuse out and put it back in and then reset the radio code!
Wow. This really worked. Our DVD player has not preperly functioned for years. We thought 2 DVD's were stuck in the player. Today I used tweezers to remove the DVD, but the player indicated that a DVD was "loading" and the light indicated a DVD was in the player (when in fact there was no DVD in the player). I removed the radio fuse for 30 seconds, but nothing changed when I put it back in. Then I removed it for 1 hour. When I put it back in, everything worked great. I put in a DVD, and it began playing. When I pressed the "eject" button, it successfully ejected the DVD. The posts on this website helped tremendously!!! Thanks.
