You may find an exclusive way to hack your DVD player and make it region free, chances are there is not your DVD player model on the website, or your DVD player is not hackable at all. You can use a region free DVD player program to play your region-locked DVD discs on your computer. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Player. Leawo Blu-ray Player is the very program you can use to bypass the DVD region code of a disc.

Many DVD players are preset to one region and if you use a DVD destined for any other region, the player will refuse to play. Some players have the option to change this to universal mode. Check your player's manual if yours has this facility.

Yes. You can play VCD movies and and Audio CDs on most players.

What does the message Wrong Regional Disc mean

Almost all commercial DVDs that are sold have region code, which only allows the DVD to be played on DVD players that have this region code, and the only DVD players that typically do have this region code are those sold in that same region.

You can use a region free DVD player program to play your region-locked DVD discs on your computer. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Player. Leawo Blu-ray Player is the very program you can use to bypass the DVD region code of a disc.

Portable dvd player when you put disc in machine it comes up with wrong disc display on screen is it the settings

It would more likely be the types of discs used. They are either of a region code not compatible with the player, contain foreign/unknown data, or they are unsupported formats. For example, if the player supports DVD-R playback, and you put a DVD-RW in, the player will generate 'wrong disc' message if the player cannot recognise the disc or the contents on it.

The disc formats/types that can be played should be outlined either on the unit itself or in the instruction manual (if you still have it). If the player shows that message even with genuine shop-bought DVDs then there is a defect within the unit, workshop attention may be required to fix it, but it could be costly.

'WRONG DISC' usually means the disc inserted is of a different region code to the player, or the wrong format (DVD-RW instead of DVD-R as exampled above). Try using different discs before going any further.

Keeps saying wrong disk

Hello,

The reason it is showing wrong disc is because the laser/lensisnot reading the disc.

The reason the laser/lens is not reading the disc is because it is either weak or dirty.

To fix it if it is dirty, try to clean it with a lens cleaner.

If it does not work, then it means the lens is weak, and to fix the lens you have to replace it with a new compatible lens.

Get the appropriate screwdriver, open up the cover, unscrew the disc tray and try to locate the lens and replace it with the new one.

test with a DVD disc.

Take care

Dvd in player but display says no disk

Check the regional code of the DVD you want to play. It is at the back of the DVD cover. It should be compatible with the regional code which your DVD player can play. If they are not tallying the disc will not be read

Wrong regional disc

Hello mperona,

The reason you are receiving this message is due to the region settings on your dvd player. Dvd players use region settings to allow them to only play dvd's from certain parts of the world. Your dvd player's region settings do not match the region code of the dvd disc.

The only way is to make your dvd player multi region....you will need to post the make and model of your dvd player so I can search for a solution that will work.

Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Kenwood DVD player 5 speaker system

There is nothing wrong with it, it is set to only play in the region it was purchased from. That is how all DVD players are made, with regional settings. No repair is going to help, you just need a DVD player from the proper region to play those disc's.
