I am not sure if I understand what you want to know, because the licence number of Avira actually has nothing to do with logging on a saved file.
Open the Avira configuration.There you will find how long your licence is still valid .In case it has expired you would have gotten a message from Avira, a pop up, asking you if your want to prolong/buy a licence.
I would contact AVG customer service. You may be out of luck since licences are sometimes sold for one computer or device only.
AVG offers a free edition for non-comersial use. This is what I use at home and have been very happy with it.
