How do I clean the debris filter in my front loading Samsung washing machine?. Open the filter cover(A) by using a coin or key.Take one end of the emergency draining tube (B) out.Open the emergency drain cap (C) by pulling it. Allow all the water to flow into a bowl. Note: hold the cap at the end of the emergency draining tube (B) and slowly pull it out. Note: you may need to drain several bowlfuls of water. . Prepare a dry cloth. Wash any dirt or other material from the debris filter. Make sure the drain pump propeller behind the debris filter is not blocked.Replace the debris filter cap tightly.Reinsert the emergency drain cap and the drain tube.ake sure to replace the debris filter and emergency drain cap after cleaning it. If they are not reinserted properly your washing machine may leak or otherwise malfunction.Close the filter cove

Ok, replaced waste pump - slight improvement but clothes still bad... only just seen your solution Mike!!! I didn't even notice a spin control board there, I will check/swap it tomorrow as I've only just put everything back in place(incl. kitchen cupboards etc!).
Is this a common problem with this model?? There's a mountain of appliances near where I work and I'm free to take whatever I can find, I'd say some people just buy a new machine without even checking if the filter's blocked looking at some of these appliances!

Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. (no promises but try this!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

1. Open the filter-cover near the bottom of the machine. Unscrew emergency drain cap by turning it to the left and drain off all the water. Unscrew the filter cap and take it out. Wash any dirt or other material from the filter. Make sure the drain pump propeller behind the filter is not blocked. Replace the filter cap. Replace the filter-cover.
2. The Water Drain error can be cleared by turning POWER SW OFF and back ON.
3. If the water only trickles out of the draining hose, pause the washer and blow air down the hose, you should hear the water inside the unit bubble a few times. If you don't hear bubbles, the hose is still blocked.
4. Drain the load, empty the washer of clothes and try running a rinse & spin cycle. You should repeat this until the water runs clear from the drain hose.
5. If the machine still fails to drain, you may need to replace your Drain pump.

the drain pump is either blocked or failed needs to be unblocked if failed needs to be replaced.

or the hose that the water drains out is blocked.

You may need to Clean out the pump catch to do this you need to remove the drain pump access cover, insert a pointed object (or tool) into the hole, Bottom right front of the unit push in to release the latch and rotate the cover clockwise.
you will need to clean this out use a shop vac to remove the water in the unit or have plenty towels handy
AS far as the fault code

Cause=Faulty Triac or control module
