Actually if the hd is corrupted, you can try to go to safe mode or do a chkdsk and then fix boot otherwise you need to contact drivesavers for that.
SOURCE: Booting Error Message No Operating System Found
Hi!
Make sure that hard drive is detected in BIOS. If not, there is a problem with the hard drive and any attempt to install OS will be futile since there is no hard drive detected. If this basically means you have a busted hard drive, you may need to replace it then to continue with OS installation.
Thanks.

Hello,
In restoring your computer factory defaults it enables your computer to
set its first default settings and eventually all your data stored in
your computer will automatically erase. So then you purchase a recovery
software and having some problem in installing it. Maybe because not
all software will run in different platform or version of operating
system. So my advice: Please find some computer shop in your area, a
shop with complete equipments in order for you to recover all your data
stored in your computer and let them recover it for you. In that way
you are assured that they can do it fast and effective.
Thanks

Most likely it's just coincidence that you had this kind of problem the day that your anti-virus software expired. The error messages that you're getting are typical of hard drive failure. The easiest way to find out for sure is to see if replacing your hard drive fixes the problem. You could also remove the hard drive and take it to a local shop and see if they will test it for you. There are programs that you can buy to test it yourself, but purchasing the software and hardware to do this testing yourself could easily cost you about as much or more than just buying a new hard drive. If you decide to just replace the hard drive, then make sure that you are ordering\buying the correct hard drive. The hard drive for your laptop will be 2.5". Most likely it is a SATA (Serial ATA) hard drive. The other type of interface is IDE. IDE has all the little pins sticking out of one end of the hard drive where it interfaces with the computer's motherboard. SATA has 2 plug\port attachments for interfacing with the motherboard. SATA is the one most widely used in computers manufactured in the last 3-4 years. It shouldn't matter what size of hard drive you get. The bigger the hard drive the more expensive it will be. The new hard drive will not have an operating system on it, so if your computer didn't come with recovery discs, then you may want to go to ACER's website and see if you can order the recover disc(s) for your laptop, or you could just go out and buy a new copy of Windows 7. Please leave feedback about the information that I've given you.
Testimonial: "Thanks for your fast response I ordered the disc from acer and they didn't work. I had a feeling it was the hard drive but the good news is it is still under warranty."

Fundamentally, it means that the hard drive or hard drive controller has malfunctioned. I'm assuming this is running Vista or Wndows 7 and that the hard drive is indeed a Sata drive?
(If it were running XP, the failure to deterct the hard drive could be caused by there not being a Sata driver installed, however, on Vista or 7, this should not be the case, UNLESS you changed the OS from what was installed originally?)
I would try to prove this by testing the laptop with another working sata hard drive and if that one is recognised in the Bios, then it comes back to your original hard drive being faulty. If this IS the case, then as its 3 months old and still under warranty, I'd take it back without tampering with it any further
