Polystyrene Can I fiberglass and resin directly onto untreated polystyrene, if not, how do I go about it?

Take the seat unit off the chassis and turn it upside down. You'll see two clips on the underside - push toward the centre of the seat and the plastic casing will pop away from the fabric & polystyrene cushioning. The fabric is connected to the plastic casing with elastic loops that hook onto pegs that you'll need to undo and then the fabric will come off the polystyrene cushioning ready for washing.

Broken polystyrene in the Maxi Cosi Pebble doesn't sound very safe. Try reading the user manual for the Pebble:

Traditional bean bag chairs are filled with polystyrene beads. Polystyrene beads are good for filling because they are light and resist compression. They form to your body making bean bag chairs comfortable to sit in.

Remove the seat unit from the chassis and turn it upside down. You'll see to black clips in the plastic. Push these toward one another and the plastic seat shell will pop away from the fabric & polystyrene.

The fabric is held over the polystyrene sections with a series of elastic loops that hold onto small plastic pegs. Carefully undo them and ease the fabric off the polystyrene sections.

The fabric should be handwashed for optimum care maximum 30 degrees.

The polystyrene is what protects your baby from harm in the event of an impact. It is not recommended that the seat is used with damaged polystyrene.
