I have a 2000 honda accord sedan..
while driving one day, the tape deck spit out the adapter i was using for my mp3 player..
since then, i cannot put any tapes in(adapters, music tapes) without them being spit out..
when i put one in, it clicks a few times, as if it's checking both sides of the tape & on the last flip, hesitates a couple seconds, then spits it out..
it's the factory radio/tape deck..
Time for a new car stereo. I recommend something that you can plug a flash drive into that will provide hours of listening pleasure. Repairing the factory tape deck is not going to be economical. Since the stereo has to be removed to diagnose it, much less repair it, just fill the hole with something else. If you absolutely love the factory deck, salvage yards everywhere have them available for less than the cost of a repair.
You can't do anything about that. If you want to play cd on your car stereo, the best thing to do is use an FM transmiter. They can be bought for about 20 bucks. They plug into the cd player headphones, and you tune your radio to its frequency.
what you will need is the radio adapter kit for your car make. also you need a wiring connector for the car between car wiring and radio. match the wires to wires on radio, and then the connector will fit car wiring connector, just plug it in to car wiring.

First, nobody has used the Cassette Adapters since Milli Vanilli got caught Lip-Synching and Mike Tyson got knocked out by Buster Douglas. U can buy a new radio on ebay for under $30 that has what is now called an "Auxiliary" cord or "Aux" cord. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Car-Audio-Stereo-In-Dash-MP3-Player-Radio-W-USB-SD-Input-WMA-AUX-FM-Receiver-/141663164502?nav=SEARCH Second, if u are set on keeping that stone-age paper weight u call a radio (I had one of these too, up 'till 2 yrs ago), try to play an actual cassette tape. See if it gives u the same results that the adapter gave u. If it does then the problem is in the radio and it might cost more to fix than it's worth. If it doesn't give u the same results, then try to find what is referred to as a "cassette deck cleaner kit." After u follow the directions on the kit try the adapter again. If the issue continues, then try a new adapter. By this point u are probably going to be 1/2 way to the $30 it cost for a new radio. Short of that, there isn't much else u can do unless u want to open up the radio but again, not worth the trouble. Good luck.
hi, i had the same problem with my 2001 ford focus. i found that the problem was the cds i was using were newer and used mp3 files. older starios can not read theses files and will think theres a problem with the cd and spit it out. my soulstion was geting a new deck for my car that could read mp3 files. the other opstion is to re-burn with the older music file type.
Cleaning the Radio may fix it but what it sounds like is there is a lever inside that got jammed and you have to take the player apart to get it to work again.. Cheaper to get a new one
The radio checks to make sure the drive capstan is turning - if not, gives the E10 error. Either the drive belt in the radio is slipping or the drive wheel in the adapter is sticking. If it does it with a real cassette, then it's probably the drive belt. If not, you can try to figure out why the wheel in the adapter is not turning freely.
if you dont have a plug built into it than two ways 1 if u have a tape player tape adapter plugs into deck and mp3 or fm frequency adapter plugs into mp3 and adjust radio to lowest or highest station thats not used and will play ur music
Just an idea .. In the past I have removed hungry decks from my cars. A lot easier to work on / dismantle than in dash. gently remove the casing and you should find the tape deck a separate component within the whole unit.Hook up via alligater clips to battery to power up and alligater clips to a speaker lead to hear. saves a lot of stress. Usually done for chewwed up and swallowed tape. results are good, surprisingly.
hi.....can you check if the rola ( that has teath and roling the tape ) in ur cassette adapter is actually turinig easy because whith the new cassettes if it is hard they swich the sides thinking that the tape finished if they hard try to losen them......hopfully that wil work
