Ironman 530e elliptical

I've just acquired a used Ironman 530e elliptical and it was working just fine, but when I moved it, now the console is all messed up and not working properly. It has a mind of it's own and it will not allow me to set it up properly. It just keeps counting and stopping whenever it wants, and it's now on metrics...etc. Doesn't go to "sleep" with lack of use now and when I try to use the "mode" function, it just beeps on me...etc. Basically nothing works. I can "use" the machine, but the console isn't working. The manual is useless, because it does not give instructions of how to set it up. There should be no reason for it not to work just because it got moved. Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thank you!!

SOURCE: Buttonhole instructions needed for Singer 7422 Advance

These are the exact instructions from the Manual. 1. Select one of buttonhole patterns.
2. Replace the presser foot with the buttonhole foot. (Install presser foot with little red mark towards the front)
3. Insert the button into the buttonhole foot. (the part located in the back crescent shaped)
4. Lower the buttonhole lever (to the left of the needle) so that it drops down vertically between the stoppers A and B.
5. Carefully mark the position of buttonhole on your garment.
6. Place the fabric under the foot. Pull out the bobbin thread underneath the fabric to a length of about 4 inches to the rear.
7. Align the buttonhole mark on the fabric with the mark on the buttonhole foot, and then lower the buttonhole foot.
8. While holding the top thread, start the machine.
*Sewing will be completed automatically.
9. When sewing is finished, use a buttonhole opener to open up the frabric in the center of the buttonhole. Be careful not to cut anyt of the seam thread.
I hope this helps.

If you go to your local jo-ann's or hancock, they generally have a technition who comes in once a week our so to fix machines. A tune-up will generally run between $60-100, and thay should help your above mentioned problem, as well as keep everything else in tio-top shape. If there were, by slim chance, to be any additional costs associated with such a repair, the repair person will tell you ahead of time. Congrats on your new purchase!

While sawing the embroidery holder moves as well, looks like its not falling into its place correctly after embroidery, how can I fix it? Also I've self checked the machine but cant get the zi

YOUR MACHINE USES A PULSE MOTOR (SMALL MOTOR) THAT CAUSES THE NEEDLE ARM TO MOVE. IF THE MOTOR IS A PROBLEM THEN YOUR ZIGZAG STITCH AMONG OTHER STITCHES WON'T WORK. YOUR HOOP I'M NOT SURE BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR HOLDER ISN'T LOCKING WHEN YOU PUSH THE HOOPS ON. LOOK INSIDE THE HOLE WHERE YOU PUSH THE HOOP AND TOUCH ON EACH SIDE AND PLACE PRESSURE TO SEE IF THEY BOUNCE BACK. ANYWAY, YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED TO GO TO YOUR LOCAL REPAIR SHOP ON BOTH OF THESE PROBLEMS.

Silvercrest overlocker - the 'red' pathway thread won't progress through

have you tried changing the needle?
since you've only had the machine for a week, I'd suggest taking it back & getting another machine.

Feed dogs not moving properly

it's very possible that the feed dogs are out of time & the machine would have to be serviced at a sewing machine repair shop

While running the machine would bind and stop. Turning it manually it works fine for a while and then it will bind and the manual wheel will turn with some drag, but nothing inside moves. If you reverse...

OPEN THE THE GRIPPER WHICH YOU SAID IS CRACKED BY REMOVING THE SCREWS HOLDING IT AND TRY RUNNING THE MACHINE.ALSO CHECK THE SMALL WHEEL LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE WHEEL, THIS HAS TO BE TIGHTENED BY TURNING IN THE REVERSE DIRECTION.
REGARDS.

Acquired a used Kenmore 158.1792 model sewing machine and when I sew, the thread on the underside is all knotted up and in excessive amounts! How do I keep that from happening? Thank you!

Sounds like a tension problem. Do you have a manual ?? If not, they're available online for $5 to $10 as a PDF problem. You'll want to check the top tension, and the lower bobbin assembly.

[ I've got one of these machines, and used it for many years, although sadly it now has a burnt-out motor, and the motors are difficult/impossible to find ]
