Did the same and burnt a frazzled chip. it is on the 3rd circuit board (I believe it provides the lamp power). It is the 8 pin surface mount chip next to C900. As far as I can make out, the numbers on the chip are 4559 **** **7B I was told it's the lamp drive. If it is indeed lamp drive, then when you turn the monitor on, round the edges of a flashlight pressed to the screen, you should see a picture. If there isn't one, you may have killed more than I did. Is there no power regulator at the input? Good luck
I am using this great LCD for about an year. But few times in the past my LCD didnt show up the display though the Green light was still ON, turning off the LCD and opening it again always solved the problem. But now My LCD completely went blank. Turning off/on didnt work at all now. I've tried couple of other tweaks mentioned on this site but they didnt work. I am just seeing a blank screen with green light ON. and ya theres a very low hissing sound coming from the LCD.
