Help, need the security code for renault kangoo van

If you feel confident to do so, remove the radio and make a note of the serial number and maker then replace the radio. Do a google or web search for " Car Radio Codes". Select a site, usual cost is Euro10 and in a very short while you will receive an email with the correct code to unlock your radio

I'm assuming that the number you supplied is the last 4 digits on side of stereo - code should be 3786

never had anysucess with the code generator for a renault iam afraid

You're better off getting an after-market unit and buying the harness and install kit at an electronics shop.

If the battery went dead or the radio lost power at any time you will need to re-enter the code for it to work again. If this is not the case check the fuse for it as it may have blown in which case you will be required to enter the radio code after replacing the fuse.

The easiest and best way is to take it the nearest renault dealer and for a small charge if any they'll take your vin (vehicle identification number) and give you a code which can be used indefinitely until a new radio is fitted. This process takes about 5 mins and to input the code press number 1 the amount of times till the first digit of the code appears and the same which number 2,3 and 4. Finally press and hold button 6 till a beep confirms correct code.

Alternatively you can get the code yourself through certain websites but probably be more expensive.

Whats your vin (chassis number) and il see about getting a code if i can.

I have just got the code from the local renault dealer for my kangoo had to take in my V5 registration document cost £11.00 took about 10 mins.

ring a renault garage and give them the numbers. they will give you a four digit code and explain how to input it
