The power is off on my ASKO 3251 dishwasher, yet the drain pump is on all the time, and I hear water gurgling constantly. I've tried to "re-set" the machine by holding down the Power and Delay Start button simultaneously, but then the Pots and Pans (Heavy cycle) light flashes, and the "End of Cycle" sound beeps continuously. The manual says that a flashing Pots and Pans light means that there is "too much water in the machine; call service"; yet there is NO water in the machine, and I've cleaned all the filters. This all came about very suddenly. I just want to check if there is anything I can do before I call service.
You most likely have a leaking bottom spray arm. The water is in the pan under your unit. It requires dealer service. If you are still in your 3-year warranty, good; otherwise be prepared to put out hundreds of dollars. I'm going though this now for a second time on my $1600 D3251. Asko did grant a one-time extension on my warranty since it expired a month ago. In 6 months when it breaks again, I'll buy a Bosch. I also had this same problem on a previous Asko. I can't get more than 3 years out of these units, so this is my last Asko. When it breaks again, I'll go with Bosch. Good Luck.
Im s service man for asko Appliance ...or rather use to be..if u think the washer is bad just be a self employed service man and try and get paid from asko...I'd rather pull teeth!!!! But asko dishwasher are quite..thats all I can say for them...these units are designed to break n tare up..this is how they make tons of money...just goto home depot or lowes and buy a Maytag or GE...the performance is just as good and there are years n years of trouble free operation!!!! Stay away from those expensive units..if u will sprsy the back n side of the inexpensive units with truck bedliner or some sort of stereo sound board ur inexpensive unit will be as quite as the high dollar asko or bocsh units ...
