Maybe this will help you out, it did me...

Just boot in to windows setup, hit enter to setup up windows (do not use recovery console). After it scans for previous windows installations it asks you if you want to repair. Hit "r" to perform repair-install. This fixed the problem for me.

Hope this helps,

What is HiddenForm?

Not 100% certain, but is usually a sign of infection. You can right click on it in the task manager and select 'go to process' to see what is creating it. Google the process to find out what it is.

It also doesn't hurt to run a complete virus scan (of course you have an up to date virus scanner, right?) you should also run MalwareBytes (Great free program with no malware)

Lifeframe webcam on an asus laptop, says camera is used by another program

Don't open two programs that uses webcam, for example: if you have skype application opened with video call you can use the webcam at yahoo messenger. make show application that requires one web cam features like video calling are online opened when needed.
if the is a hidden program that you sure to have close it that is still in process, then open the task manager and click on applications, you will see and end it process there, if the problem persist then restart the computer.

Laptop hanging off

If your laptop is hanging while you are working, press this combination keys:
Ctrl Alt Del.
If you are using windows XP, it should automatically take you to task manager.
But if you are using windows vista or windows 7, it would show you options, of which you are to select 'task manager'.
End the tasks the are not responding by right clickin it and selecting 'end task'.
If that task still refuses to end, still in the task master pane, go to 'processes'.
Select the processs running the nonresponsive task. Eg, if internet explorer is the non responsive task, the process would be 'explorer.exe'.
End that process.

If it stil doesnt work, then select 'end all processes', and restart the system.
Hope this was helpful?

Dual core issue

If you are able to start the application, press control+alt+delete to bring up the task manager window. Find the application in task manager, right click on it, and left click "Set Affinity". Now, remove one of the checks so that the process is only allowed to run on one processor core.

My computer is locked up with the Roxio media manager unable to shut down or cancel out and I cant delete my blackberry install etc??

well when an application is locked and (not responding) try to force it to shut off by going into task manager (rick click on the bar at the bottom of your desktop on any unused area and a menu will show the task manager then select it by clicking on it, or to type ctrl+alt+del and select task manager) and go into applications and select the application an click on end task, and click ok on any other window that comes up thereafter.

if that does not get your application to shut down, try to do it by looking for the process that runs the application and go into the processes tab in task manager and end any process related with the application (you may need to know or guess what process to end as the names sometimes may be acronyms of short versions of the actual name of the program you're running on the system.

I have digi design 001 and I keep getting dae error 9073 on my protools

For those hitting the -9073's, a couple of urgent needs:

1. Please explain what Editing functions you are performing that cause -9073's. BESIDES creating fades, Audiosuite, Consolidating, or TCE Trim (as these all fire off background disk-writing processes, which we've confirmed can indeed cause -9073s.)

2. Open up Task Manager and keep an eye on it to perhaps catch some unexpected background tasks during Editing.

3. Does DAE buffer 4 ease the occurrences? (It does for me on 2 rigs: MacPro quad, HD3 and Powermac G5 dual 2.7, HD3).

Note: Using the "Pause Tasks during playback" (in Task Manager menu) is one method of holding off the -9073's, but it no means to I suggest that as a total solution.
