Admin password for Canon ir2270 MFC

JUST HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THE DEFAULT ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD IS "BLANK" LEAVE THE PASSWORD FIELD EMPTY AND PRESS ENTER

Product : All imageRUNNER-iR Series, All imageRUNNER Series, All Color Enalbed imageRUNNER Models, All imagePRESS Series Title : Forgot Department ID Management Password and the System Settings or System Manager Password Problem :
Cannot disable Department ID Management and there is no System Settings or System Manager password to override it. How to Clear the System Settings or System Manager's Password?

Solution :
For the GP200, imageRUNNER 210 / 330 / 400 / 550 / 600 / C2050 / C2058 models:

For the imageRUNNER-iR Series, imagePRESS and other Color-Enabled imageRUNNER models:

1) Go into Service Mode by hitting [Additional Functions-2 and 8-Additional Functions]
2) Select [COPIER]
3) Select [FUNCTION] (One of the buttons across the top of the LCD)
4) Select [CLEAR]
5) Scroll to screen two of the LCD using the Right arrow key.
6) Select [PWD-CLR]
7) Hit [OK]
8) Hit the RESET button twice in order to return to the Main LCD Screen.
This will turn off the Department ID Management feature on the machine (without deleting the configured Department IDs and Passwords) and will clear out (delete) the System Manager ID and Password.

It might be necessary to Power the unit Off and then Back ON.
