Downgrade from vista to xp. Hardware drivers missing
With the downgrade, many devices on the device manager have questionmarks and are not functioning for example sound, coprocessor, ethernet controller, network controller, video controller etc

1st You download Webcam Driver.

After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.

If a drive is missing the hardware will not function as expected to check if your missing drivers in windows.
in XP
Right click on my computer select properties, then go to the hardware tab and select device manager, if any of the devices in device manager show up with a yellow question mark you are missing the drivers for that hardware.
in Windows 7
Right click on computer select manage, and then device manager on the left in the new window that opens. Again if there are any yellow question marks you are missing drivers.
So if your missing a driver what do you do?
well if you bought your computer from a major manufacturer such as dell, hp etc all your systems drivers can be found on their respective websites.
usually they have a support section to their websites where you can enter your computers model number and search for downloads and information once you find the appropriate driver download and install it, and your hardware should be behaving normally now.
If however your computer is not from a major manufacturer, once you have determined what device is missing a driver from the device manager you need to find who made that device. This is usually done by opening up the computer and looking for a label on the device of some kind. Then you need to go to that manufacturers website and see if you can find the driver.
Did you install the device drivers for all the hardware?
XP and Vista will detect most hardware but not all of it. Most of the time some items such as Sound card, Ethernet and Video cards end up with no proper driver software when installing a new operating system. Some of these have to be installed manually using drivers from the manufacturers web site.
Go to "My Computer", right click and select "Manage", go to the Device Manager and see if your sound card is listed there with no error or yellow exclamation mark. If it has an error then it needs the driver as indicated above.
ps... XP is not really a downgrade from Vista. As you probably know its faster, easier to use, and all the keyboard shortcuts still work.
What you need to do on a downgrade is just install the driver for XP not the software to do this go to control panel and open System select hardware and open device manager and follow the steps below
1. Right click the device you want to install and click update driver. 2. Select No Not This Time 3. Select Install From List Or Specific Location 4. Use the first option (Search for the best driver) and enable Include This Location In The Search click browse and locate the driver in the drop down box click next to install.
Check in the computer management / device manager window and see if there are proper drivers installed for the network / wireless card. If you are running windows XP take note if there is a red x or a yelloe questionmark. If there is a red x then the hardware is disabled. Right Click on it and left click on enable. If there id a yellow questionmark then Right Click and then left click on update driver. If you are running windows Vista then you will see a black linr under the device. You can try the same steps. hi, this is one of the most common problem while downgrading from vista to XP.. get the driver of your sound device...now u can't directly install the setup it wud display no audio device... so do the following... 1. Righty click my computer...click the hardware tab.. 2. click device manager... now you will see a yellow mark on the uninstalled audio device. right click on it and update driver from a specific loaction( where you have downloaded your audio driver ).
this would work...but remember to install the microsoft unversal audio architecture before this.
