try connecting tv to cable direct also try unplugging both converter and tv for wile like 5 mins plug both back in see if tv and converter sync

This is almost certainly the device that sends electricity to the the plasma in the panel after failing. Bring to your local repair shop and expect to pay 300-400 parts and 100-200 labour.

Most likely what happened is one of the capacitors went bad. When a capacitors goes bad it produces a popping sound. This could be an easy and cheap fix if you find the bad capacitor or capacitors. The bad capacitor will have a bulging top most likely on the power board but could be anywhere.

Doesn't sound like a fuse-related symptom but rather the sign of a failing capacitor in the high voltage supply; when weakening, their characteristics can improve slightly with warmth but it is likely going to get worse.
I don't know your set so can't say if the HV supply is integrated with the main supply or not.
Your model number is incomplete so you will need to add some characters to get the right part.
