Powers on for 2 secs with blue 'vtech' screen and screen turns black

take out the batteries, cartridge. press power button for 30 Secs. place batts back in and then try to turn the toy on.

remove all power source. remove cartridge. press and hold power button for 30 Secs. put batts back in. try turning the toy on

Take the Battery out.
Place it back in.
Press and hold the Vol down : Home : Power buttons simultaneously for 10 sec.
Using the volume buttons navigate to the reset to factory settings option.
press select (left of home on L55C).
Confirm to reset.
Select to reboot.
You should be good.

Power getting to the laptop. Try first to see if this will give a screen image on an external monitor, listen for the sound of the cpu fan, hard drive and DVD rom drives clicking, see if the DVD rom drive will open if pressed.

Then remove battery and AC adaptor, press the power button for 30 secs, refit mains only and try this on mains supply (no battery)

If this fails to boot, check the light on the ac adaptor is a steady green, flashing green indicates power is not fully reaching the laptop (motherboard problems)

If it is steady and the LED power light on the laptop is steady, suspect the DC jack socket. If this feels loose or sloppy, it will need replacing, depending on the type fitted, it may be soldered onto the board, or a wired connector, which sometimes goes bad.

After that, I'd suggest that a capacitor has gone on the actual motherboard and you will need to strip the laptop to check it.

Try removing the battery and just powering on the laptop using the AC adapter. If it powers on normally without the battery then you need a new battery.

Try to drain the static in your motherboard. Please follow this procedure:

take out the battery
unplugged the power adapter
press and hold the power button for 30 secs
put the battery back in
plugged in the power adapter
turn on the computer

This procedure will darin the static of the motherboard. If same issue will happen then you need to contact your coputer's manufacturer for repair service.
