Try plugging it in directly.
Sometimes the wifi printer has to be set up AFTER the hardwire setup.
If you are desparate, plug it in directly to your computer to get your job done and figure out the wifi later.

Airprint Printer. We just purchased an HP Deskjet 3050, J610 printer. We would like to know it it can be used with an I-pad or I-phone using an Airprint printer app? If so, where would we find the...

As far as I have tried, every wifi printer worked for me, you should only configure it properly. Most printers doesn't connect to existing wifi - they create their own unprotected network and you will be able to print only when connected to that network. To avoid changing networks every time you want to print, you should connect your printer using USB cable to a PC and configure it to connect to your existing wifi network, then you will be able to print and surf the web on the same wifi network.

Iphone can't see my printer

Make sure printer wifi is turned on. If it's on, make sure the settings are correct. HP printers have an issue with wifi. Try turnng it off and then back on. The wifi I mean. Also check the wireless security settings on the printer. It may be set incorrectly. This is assuming your trying to connect wirelessly.

Printer is offline

Hi Lacey,
Disconnect the printer completely and unplug from power.Reboot your PC.Check for any jammed papers in the printer paper paths, these may cause the printer to 'go offline.'
Connect everything again and make sure its well connected to your PC.
Turn the printer off and on again.Problem solved?
If not, uninstall the printer[hoping you have the installation disks],reboot your PC again and install the printer software again.

Hope this helps.Thanks Lacey!

Printer won't download application list for scanning

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

I have a mfc-j410 and am trying to go wireless with an EVDO u210 usb mobile broadband on my laptop. Can not get it to connect wireless. Any suggestion would be appreciated

What you are proposing cannot be done as a mobile broadband modem is sort of a 'mobile phone' device (e.g. Dual band for CDMA 2000 1X and EVDO Rev.A networks 800/1900MHz) and your printer would at best be WIFI 802.11 compatible (ps. MFC-J410 has no 'W'ifi support).

Brother MFC-J410 is USB connection can only be used to connect to a PC/Laptop or print server/router (which may have WIFI support).

The printer is offline and not connecting to the network. I have tried everything.

Does it show any error message, or it just stays there like that?
Here's where to start. On your printer/fax press "Menu." Then press 5, and click "OK." Then press 2, and click "OK." It should say "Searching SSID." Make sure you are connected to your own wifi network and that your network key is inserted right.
Then, go into your wifi router's settings and make sure the DHCP server is set and that the printer can get an apropriate IP address to connect to the network.
Are you trying to connect it directly to your computer's wifi card? or are you using the router's access point. There might be issues with that too.
Have you tried connecting it to the USB cable? Even if it can't connect to the wifi network, it should always be able to connect to the wired USB interface.
Try to troubleshoot it a little. and maybe add some additional details so that we can assist you better.

I have a 10 year old pc and a 2 year old Lexmark x3650 printer. Could I set up a wifi connection?

Hello, you'll need to be running at least XP, and have all the latest service packs, then buy yourself a wireless lan card and install it into your pc, install the drivers for it too. Then Google for a solution to connecting the pc by wifi to the printer as it can get very complicated. You'll need lots of patience too! p.s. I'm assuming your printer is wifi capable...if not, you have buy one that is...I've never seen a wifi adapter for a printer. Nicam49

How to turn off wireless of samsung color laser printer clx-3185FW

The manual doesn't specifically state this but it appears that if the printer is connected to a wired LAN connection the wireless function will be disabled if the printer is set up in infrastructure mode. When I tried this the 'wireless' light turned off and I wasn't able to find the printer's WiFi SSID using a nearby netbook. If your goal, like mine, was to disable the printer's WiFi from transmitting to reduce extra WiFi noise then this seems to work. One of the wireless troubleshooting tips in the manual states to disconnect the wired connection before attempting to set up a wireless connection so it appears the two can't be used simultaneously. It seems odd that there's no specific "off" setting for wireless though. The printer will provide a WiFi connection when also connected to a wired LAN port if it is set up as part of an ad-hoc wireless network so make sure you set it to 'infrastructure' mode to disable WiFi.
