Question about Frigidaire 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White
My oven keeps coming on by itself even though the oven knob is on the off position. I was wondering if somebody could tell me what it could be and how to fix the problem. It comes on and stay on for a few seconds but then it will kick off by itself. This is starting to worry us that it keeps doing it.
Maybe your knob is turning but the rod the knob is connected to is not turning. Best to remove knob and turn the rod to off position with Pliers to be sure it is actually being turned to the off position.

This is failed communication between the EOC and the temp sensors located in the oven. i recommend testing the EOC(break point test on the pins) for its operational value and the temp sensors as well. replace any component that doesn't register.
I would also inspect the oven temp sensors for welded harness and fouled housings.
In most cases, this will be a EOC issue.

absolutely nothing, they are cycling properly to keep the glass top hot
you are not cooking wioth the heat of the element,
but with the heat the glass absorbs from the element
if they are all doing it,,,, it is normal trust me
i have handled this call about 500 times since glass tops first hit the market

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.
Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.
Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

Sounds like the control board is not communicating correctly with the rest of the unit, consult a professional.
