Will not stay powered on

I have a Hatachi 60UX54B and if I leave it unplugged for a few minutes & then plug back in the set will power up for a few minutes then shut down and will not power up again. It seems that when the unit warms up the the power drop out. Thanks in advance, Mark

Does the convergence look OK before it goes out/ Have you opened the set to see if there is any liquid or any staining on the printed circuit boards right under the picture tubes? This set is very common for the CRT coolant to drip out of the tubes and fall onto the printed circuit board. good Luck

  • Anonymous Aug 12, 2007

    Hello,
    you can also check/replace integrated circuit IC401, capacitor C715, I601, IK04, IK05, D915.
    Change R074, R075 from 47K to 15K.
Add a 100pf capacitor, one for SDA3 line other to SCL3 line.
    Check that C128 is a 22uf/16V.

    Best regards,
    Arpi

Will not power on..have to unplug wait till red power light goes off then plug back in ..then will power on fine

Power cycle your TV by unplugging it and leaving it for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. Restore settings back to factory defaults. If everything else fails, then I would recommend pursuing repairs.

Television buttons unit do not work

Try power cycling the TV. To do so, unplug everything from the back of it, power off the TV and unplug it from the wall. Leave it unplugged for a few minutes, and then re-connect and plug the TV back into the wall. Turn it on and reset any system setting changes back to factory defaults. If the problem(s) still exist(s), then I would recommend scheduling repair service.

Dvdr philips 3305 blocked

Unplug your player from the power supply (do not just set it to standby). Leave the player for a few minutes. Plug your player back into the power supply and switch on the machine. This should unblock it.

Mine did the same but no picture, just sound every few seconds for 1-2 seconds. I unplugged from the wall for 10 seconds and plugged back in, works fine now.

Hitachi 60" picture flashes on and off.

I've had the same issue although I don't unplug everything. I turn it off and then unplug it from the wall for 10 seconds then plug it back in. Seems ok after that. Has happened 4 or 5 times over the 10 years I've owned it.
