Not lighting nor charging

Not come on when switched on and no amber light when pluged to charge

    When plugged in the amber light does not come on to charge and it will not run dircetly from the AC. When I press the power button the green power light flashes, then the amber charging light blinks then they all go off. Same result every time I press it, regardless if from battery or wall.

You probably need to have a techie install a new d/c jack onto the motherboard. Only about $60us in my market.

Check the power supply with a replacement, mine died for no reason after 12 months use, there are cheap alteratives no need to buy from HP :-)

The charger has 2 indicator lights to represent the status of the battery during the charging process. When connecting a discharged battery, the red light will illuminate to indicate the bulk charge state. When the bulk charging process is complete, the green light will illuminate.

Charging problem the red light and green light or both on when charging and the batteries don't seem to be charging
sounds like the batteries are dud, most chargers have 2 or 3 lights, red (max charging) Amber (battery nearing full charge) Green (fully charged and most will switch to a trickle charge) has the scooter been out of use for some time as scooter / wheelchair batteries must be kept charged, and only a short time of no use can destroy the batteries.

Laptops are so integrated that usually a system failure that involves power issues such as in your case where you cant get it turn on with anything on the screen mean the mainboard (motherboard) is damaged. This usually leads to buying a new laptop or paying for the board to be replaced which usually costs as much as the laptop.

My psp wont turn on. the amber chargeing light is on, even left for a few hours to charge still wont charge and replaced the battery.
Hi there!
When you charge your PSP with the charger (USB/wall) does the power light turn to amber? If it does not, It's possible that your charger (USB/wall) is already broken. You may need to purchase a new one.
If it does, you may have either a loose power switch (which happens on my PSP Go) or you may need to have your unit checked with a qualified technician.

Does not hold a charge. I have tried charging it for 2 days and when I unplug it and check the battery it says zero charge and shuts off!
if you see the amber light on the charging cradle then your battery no longer holds a charge. if you don't see the amber light then your pda is not charging when in the cradle. most likely it's a battery problem. good luck.
