It may have a steel vacuum 'bottle,' or one made of thicker glass.
These rob heat from whatever you put in them.
You can only avoid this by pouring very hot- to boiling water in them, dumping it out and only then add your hot liquid.

thermos cant be fixed once the glass gets punctured. it is cheaper to buy a new one

you need a stanely my stanely stays hot for 6 hours and is still warm in eight and the larger the stanely thermos the better and i have had that same stainless steel thermos and it even sometimes leaked. stanely may cost a little more but there worth it.

I use a $1.00 bottle of alcohol from the dollar store,
which is already mixed with water 80-20% OR or 50-50 %.
What ever they have available and I do it twice.

is there a flame safety device on the burner /is it out of postion

It sounds like the orifice is bad. An orifice is a small metal part that has a small hole in it. This regulates the gas coming out to the burner. It is at the tip of the pipe that brings gas to the burners, before the flame. I don't know what the hell the garggley noise is. Unless the bottle is upside down, and you are getting liquid, I don't know.
