Monitor Switch Part Number?

I replaced a blown fuse w/o replacing the monitor switch as stated on the inside label when replacing a fuse. The replacement fuse blew when I tried to use the microwave. I've not been able to find the monitor switch part number on the numerous sites I've checked. Please provide the part number or where I can find it.

They might be referring to a diode connected to the big silver capicitor and screwed to the case.
These can go short circuit causing the fuse to fail.

WHAT CAUSES FUSE TO BLOW WHEN DOOR OPENS. I CHANGED IT AND SAME THING HAPPENS OVER AND OVER.

The monitor switch is likely causing the fuse to blow because one of the other switches is stuck in the closed position. If this is the case, replace both the monitor switch and the defective switch.

The interior light won't turn off and can hear a fan. usually it goes dark and quiet

It sounds like one of the door interlock switches is bad. You will have top access the control panel where you should gain access to the switch assembly. tested or replace the top and bottom switches. there usually is a third switch that is has a different connection configuration. this will be the monitor switch it is highly unlikely it is this switch or the fuse would be blown.

Why my Daewoo microwave oven blows the fuse only when the door gets closed while when it startre with the door opened the bulb is lit and so is the control board until the door is closed then it blows

Hi. The fact that the fuse blows when the door is closed is quite logical. There are safetyswitches preventing the oven to start with an open door. As to the fuse blowing, There are 3 possibilities: the High voltage trafo is defective, the voltage doubler diode or the capacitor are defective. You must be VERY CAREFULL when working on these parts: the voltages are LETHAL.

Microwave oven no power

The main fuse is probably blown.

When replacing, try to determine the cause.

if it has a bad door switch, then the monitor/short switch also must be replaced. On an inverter, replace the power relay as well.

If the fuse holder is not holding the fuse securely, then it will heat and blow.

A failing component in the high voltage circuit can also cause the problem.

Internal fuse blown , replaced fuse oven came on for two seconds trips breaker on that circuit . what do you think?

There are three to four switches that monitor that microwave. If any of them are bad it won't work. More then likely it's the monitor switch. There's a primary and a secondary switch. Take the cover off and look for the tech sheet it will show you which ones they are. They are around the door latch area...good luck.

Where is the monitor switch on a sharp r-1471

You can check the protection diode fitted across the highvoltage capacitor near to the Highvoltage transformer. If it is shorted there is a chance to blow off the fuse. There is no chance for the monitor switch. Any way you can check the monitor switch which is located near to the control panel( Near the door switch)

Panasonic NNA554W blows 10a fuse when microwave comes on

Possibly the interlock monitor switch is bad or out of adjustment. This switch is designed to create a short circuit across the power line (and then blow the fuse) if you attempt to defeat the door interlock and operate the oven with the door open. A shorted capacitor or diode could also cause the fuse to blow. Because of lethal voltages inside and the possibility of microwave leakage if repairs aren't done correctly, you are best off leaving microwave service to professionals.
