i have a 1997 honda accord ex. i have a knocking noise in the front end up to 25mph and goes away until you hit about 55mph then it comes back but it also goes away with the slightest turn of the steering wheel. what could this be? please help me, i been stuck on this for 5 days now. thanks.
This is something you have to remove the door panel to before you can say what it is. But I don't advise a DIYer doing it because its a little tricky. I recommend taking it to a body shop . They do this stuff in their sleep let them deal with it. If you try it and mess up then you have no door lock. This is not a big repair.
Sounds like a sticking switch ( actuator ) in the door. Pull off the door panel and , looking inside the door, follow the rod from the key to the actuator . Clean the actuator and make sure it works freely before re assembly.
it has a solenoid in each door that locks the door when activated make sure you have power to and ground from the solenoid if so replace the solenoid in the passenger door
i have the same problem... but is the rear passenger door!
