Where is my fuel filter located on my 2003 alero

My car will not crank over its not the battery

does the starter turn? or make any noises when you try to start the car. basically what we need to know is what sounds it makes, or doesnt make when you turn the key to try and start it.

Check battery cables .make sure they are clean and tight .check battery volts. it should be 12.5 volts. your fuel filter is above the gas tank right next to black square plastic box . call the charcoal canister.

It is a known issue. Fuel pumps can work, but not provide enough pressure, so you need to test with a pressure gauge. There is also a Pressure Regulator. Have a read of this.

Try squirting starter fluid or ether into the carb. If it takes over you might have a blocked fuel filter. Then see if you have spark. Just pull the wire and connect to an old plug or get a tester. Make sure your hands are insulated. If you have spark then check timing. Could be the coil if there's no spark. Also could be a Passlock Sensor.

Its faulty fuel pump and clogged fuel filter.In your vehicle the fuel pressure is low,due to this faulty fuel pump and clogged fuel filter,so its not starting.But it starts when you spray liquid in intake.The liquid directly goes to engine so vehicle starts.Replace the fuel pump and filter.This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
