Rolling distances on rangefinder.

Does this rangefinder have rolling distances? Will it give you numbers as you scan or do you only get a number at the end of each attempt to get distance?

Unless that device has a laser in it, rolling distance calculaters are hard to come by because they are not cheap.

Motor keypad craftsman

It should IF the Craftsman opener is also of the rolling code type. Some openers use rolling code technology and some do not. You need to cross reference the model number of the craftsman opener with the remote to see if they are compatible. You didn't give the opener model number here so there is no accurate way of telling. Most Sears openers over the past few years are rolling code type.

What is the probability of rolling a number less than 5

That depends on the die or dice. The probability of rolling a number less than 5 on a standard six-sided die is 2/3. The probability of rolling a number less than 5 with two standard dice is 1/6. The probability of rolling a number less than 5 on an eight-sided die is 1/2.

Just inherited a very old tunturi family exercise bike, and it is VERY old but works a treat! Trouble is I have no idea what format the speedometer is in!! Anyone got any ideas? I was told it's miles but...

Generally the Speedometer is in miles per hour, that is the standard. If you, when looking at the dial gauge, see the numbers go above 50 then it's in kilometers.

Exercise bicycles will give you a pretty accurate account of Speed and this in turn gives you an accurate account of distance. But this is the distance that wheel traveled, not the equivelant that you would be able to do on the road on an actual bike. Yoiu do not have factors like wind resistance, rolling resistance, and terrain to deal with. You will go further on the stationary bike then on the road if you are judging by distance, as you will be pedaling at a higher speed.

congrats on the inheritance.

I need to program a sigma 906 for my recumbent with a 20 1/8 wheel size. Is 1254 the right entry in wheel size?

The number you are entering should be the circumference of the tire, measured in millimeters. 1254 looks pretty small for your wheel. You can get the circumference by rolling the tire one revolution and measuring the distance with a tape measure. I usually lay out the tape, start with the tire valve at zero, roll one revolution, and read the number. Of course this number could be off by a few percent as the tire isn't exactly the same size due to rider weight, air pressure, tire wear, and temperature. If the error is large you need to do some riding on a known distance, like a running track, and then tweak the number up or down slightly until you are happy.

Use of bosch dlr165 when there is no direct line of vision

northerntool.com has a few wheel meters that roll along the ground and will give you a fairly close measurement. or you can use the string method where you take a string and stretch it as close to a straight line as possible then mark it then get it out to where you can measure the string.

I have no manual, how do I get the distance number to appear?

You can download a manual at http://distagage.com/downloads.html

but simply, to get the distance to appear, turn on the unit with the large red ON/DIST button, aim the red laser dot at your desired target, and press the ON/DIST button again. The distance will appear on the display screen.

Pinseeker 1500 has trouble picking up flags over 100 yards away

The unit needs an alignment. Vibration and dropping the unit is the number one killer of rangefinders.....After a while of using them, (bouncing around in golf carts, cup holders, dropping them on the cart path, or the ground) small prisms start to move inside and decrease the units effective range.... (only able to hit a target at about 150 yards or less) People that use these type of instruments have to realize that the laser beam is the straightest line in the history of man!!!. Alignment is crucial!!!

Alignment is due. For all you players that think its okay to take off the eyepiece cap.....(bad idea) This is why you see oily looking spots or black spots in the view. Direct sunlight will be magnified and burn the surface of the LCD. Bushnell is good about warranties but, if you take it apart...the warranty is void!!!! So if its 2 years old or less.....(send a copy of the proof of purchase) .send it to them. If you have sunlight burns already...this won't effect the performance of the unit. Wait till something else is wrong.

My range finder powers up but doesn't give distances

If your unit powers up and all the lcd segments are on.....The main circuit board has lost its programming. Check the model number. (on the back on a small black strip) call bushnell and find out if it can be reprogrammed. If you have the model in the picture it can be reprogrammed but, there is no guarantee how long that will last. I would look at some newer technology.

Good Luck to you!!!!

I don't know how to read the mileage on my crown vic, 1989?

all numbers should be included.
The "rolling number" is tenths of a mile.
example...
123,456.7 miles.
Since it is a 94, im assuming it has 100,000 Miles PLUS.
If there are only 5 digits (plus the "rolling number" and it reads 87,654.3 check the first two digits (8+7) to lign up in a straight line.
If the 8 is higher than the 7, the car actually has 187,654.3 miles.
Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!
