My Xbox 360 is in black and white, it also has no sound!!

I bought a new Xbox 360 yesterday and decided to hook it up today. I have already had a Xbox 360 before so I know how to hook it up, but this time when I turned it on the screen was in black and white. I can't hear anything either. What is wrong? Please help me!!

The problem could lie in the audio video cable or Hdmi cable. Try replacing that or even taking the 360 back for a new one. If thats not the solution then it could be the input on your tv.

New xbox 360 arcade no screen or sound

to start off, what type of cable are you using??
since you've already tried using 2diff TVs,basically its with the console

try using a different AV CABLES, if it still doesnt work, try calling xbox support hotline for possible replacement of your cable or for processing a repair for the xbox if necessary..

since you just bought your console, try going back to the store where you bought it and have it replaced, because for the repalcement of the cable if you call xbox support,it will take 8-12business days for toureceive it and 2-3weeks for the turn around time of the repair for the xbox.

Game mode on tv

If you have a HDTV then you need to change the resolution to 720i or 720p to support the XBox 360 HD video. If you have a standard TV (non-HD) then you'll need to change your XBox 360's video settings to non-HD. The problem sounds like your mixing up HD video signal. I really need more info about your TV. Is it HD? Or regular?

Do you have it hooked up straight to your tv or is it hooked into a System Selector? Your cables might be going bad, or what ever you have cables plugged into is going bad.
