Hi,

if colours don,t match up. your main connectors hdd/pwr/reset remove the front panel on the computer. and check from the switches located on the front panel. or you could use a multimeter and test for continuity. if you have one.
you should have green/white red/white orange/white Or blue white.

As such Asus has no info on it.

Looking at the second link posted (Motherboard Specifications), scroll down to the bottom, and click right on - Motherboard Layout

Motherboard layout shown (Direction), is the same as is installed in your computer; Processor to the Top, white PCI slots to the Bottom, Ram Memory to the Right.

The plastic front of your computer is the Front Panel.
The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the cables (Wires) go to from the Front Panel, is the Front Panel header.

Abbreviated F_PANEL 1, at the bottom right corner of the motherboard, is the Front Panel header.

There are 9 contact pins. Two rows.
Across the Top row they are numbered ODD.
Across the Bottom row they are numbered EVEN.

Coming from the Left side of the motherboard towards the right side, on the Top row;
Pins 1, 3, 5, and 7

Coming from the Left side of the motherboard towards the right side, on the Bottom row;
Pins 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED light.
Pin 1 is for the Positive wire. ( + )
If the HDD LED is dim when operating, switch the wires around.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch, IF a Reset switch is used.

C) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light.
Pin 2 is for the Positive wire.

D) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

I need the wiring diagram for replacing the power supply for a HP Pavilion 515n

You don't need a wiring diagram. Just pay close attention to where things are plugged in while the old power supply is still in the computer once you remove the case. There are only a few connections and some of them will only fit in the correct slot on the motherboard. For example, the main power to the motherboard will be the largest connector, then you will have a connector to the hard drive, the dvd/cd drive, etc. What you could do it take a piece of masking tape and and fine tip marking pen such as a Sharpie and write where that wire is being plugged into the motherboard. Then when you remove it and put the new power supply in, just refer to where the plugins go based on what you marked on the old plugins. There will also be some plugins that go nowhere. They are there for future expansions and upgrades that you might do.

Photo of the Asus M2N78-LA motherboard,

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c01421635&dlc=en

This photo also shows the orientation (Direction), that the motherboard is sitting in a computer case.

To the very bottom right is the Front Panel header.

The front plastic panel of the computer is the Front Panel.

The area of pins on the motherboard that the cables, (Wires) from the Front Panel connect to, is the Front Panel header. ( F_PANEL )

The Front Panel header, is the black rectangular shaped plastic block, that is sitting vertically on the motherboard.

Has two columns of pins.
4 on the left side, 5 on the right side. Makes it look as though there is a pin missing, at the top left corner.

I'm going to number the pins.

Pins on the Left side starting at the Top, going down;

Pins 1, 3, 5, and 7.

Pins on the Right side starting at the Top, going down,

Pins 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the Power On switch. (Power On button)

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Power On LED light.
Pin 7 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
(If the LED light is dim, reverse the wires around)

C) Pins 4 and 6 are for a Reset switch, IF a Reset switch is used. (Reset button)

D) Pins 8 and 10 are for the HarDDrive activity LED light.
Pin 10 is for the Positive wire. ( + )
(If the HDD LED light is dim when operating, switch the wires around)

Pin 2 at the top Right is NOT used. (NC. Not Connected)
