HOW TO CHECK RESET SIGNAL ON PCI SLOT OF MOTHERBOARD

first check ur display cable for breakr if you have built in display disable it in bios and and if you have addon display card remove them insrert a new addon diplay card if you have display the display section in you motherboard is faulty or diplay add on card is faulty if it still dont work the clock and reset section in your motherboard is fulty to find the at the above section if you have a multimeter check the pci slot A15 means the pci pins facing the processor must have 5v if this is ok your motherboard is ok and the problem is with your display card

i facing problem on mb acer sf2 661fx rev 1.1 no power to cd rom and hdd...also monitor not shown anything... cpu fan and casing fan only working..any idea pls..

1. check your video card it may not be seated in the pci slot provided on the mother board or it may have lost the driver set. This will require a re-install of the video card. If the video card is on the mother board this will require another video graphic card to be install via the pci slot or pci express graphics slot compatible with your PC.

When the monitor shows no signal it means either the data cable going from the monitor to the computer or the computers graphics card needs to be replaced.

Now a days every motherboard is come with PCI-Express Slot and this mothrboard can also handle more than 3.0Ghz CPU and it support DDR2 RAM which is faster than DDR1 RAM.

High FSB and high storage of DDR2 RAM will increase your computer performace.

DDR2 RAM FSB is depend on your motherboard choice. Because your motherboard should be able to support your RAM FSB rate.

I believe the fastest CPU you can install in that motherboard is a Athlon XP 3200+ (2.2GHZ) socket 7 CPU.

That board uses eaither DDR 1 or SD-RAM and is definatly not compatible with DDR2 which uses a different connector on the motherboard (more pins)

Check the motherboard features - Check your video card if is compatible with your motherboard slot.
Set the video properly from your bios (on board - AGP -PCI, or PCI-E)
Check the memory, power supply, and CPU
