Try to turn on tv it keeps blinking the power

I went thru this a couple of days ago. The repairman change the bulb and my TV was fix in 15 Min. I too have a Sony 60 inch WEGA.

 Now that I know I can change the bulb myself, but there's a hazmat issue on the bulb.

Here's a solution that I received from an TV expert in another website: "This sounds like a power supply problem. i have seen it several time on your model. i would not keep trying to turn it on it might damage something else in the tv. the reason it is shutting off is because the power supply is putting out too much voltage. a repair cost will range around 300-400. this is a great model and well worth a repair. here is a web site that might help you in finding a repairman.

Check the lamp door (with green on) ,.. both green and red blink - bad lamp. Green off, red blinks..Try unpluging for 2 minutes and retry - if no different (sorry, call a service person).
