This type of problem is typically caused by one of the ink cartridges which is suffering from marginal electrical performance - either the HP92 (black) or HP93 (color) ink cartridge.

Can you perform the 'Self Test Page' test (see below). If this test is successful then this demonstrates the printer is 'generally operational', but if normal printing is still not permitted then either the HP92 (black) or HP93 (color) ink cartridge is likely electrically damaged and may need to be replaced*.

Perform Self Test Page:
1. Press and hold the CANCEL button.
2. Press the COLOR COPY button. Release both buttons.
3. The self test prints. The printed pattern will verify printer is generally functional. Inspect color bars to verify proper nozzle/jetting health.

-- Inspect printed nozzle stair step patterns - verify all ink nozzles are properly firing. Generally, if the Self Test Page prints ok then the printer is functioning correctly and the problem is with the ink cartridges - replace the suspect ink cartridge and retest. Refer to 2nd video procedure at the following link on how to read the Self Test page test (NOTE: HP74/75 cartridges are electrically identical to the HP92 thru 98 cartridges).

*Many cartridges eventually do encounter problems or failures. Severe cartridge errors are primarily caused by an electrical breakdown at the cartridge's nozzle plate. Ink *********** or corrosion into the nozzle plate will cause a failure of the tiny micro-electronics resulting in a variety of different error messages being displayed - see picture at bottom of this page: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=1216

It is suggested to install a new HP92 and/or HP93 ink cartridge in it to resolve the current issue.

SOURCE: print too slowly

If you are running multiple things on your computer at the same time as printing that will slow down your computer....Also open up your task manager "ctrl+alt+delete" And shut down any unnecessary processes running especially if it says your CPU usage is above 90%

Unable to print 2018 holiday crossword

Hello, Peter -

Which 2018 Holiday Crossword are you asking about?

Do you mean the one printed by the Globe and Mail, a Canadian newspaper?

If so, if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader software (free), you can probably download and then print the PDF version of the 2018 Globe and Mail holiday crossword puzzle here:
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/files/editorial/Puzzles/HolidayCrossword2018.pdf

Best wishes.

Printer wont work. When turned on the display message is "Hewlett Packard" with 5 forward arrows under it. It wont go past this and is hung up, what to do?

Is this printer wired with the computer or working wireless?
When was the last time you were able to use the printer?

Have you tried printing a test page from the button on the printer? If its not printing from there as well then I think it would be better to reset the printer to factory default state. But its able to print from there then its a different case. Please let us know about the above questions.

HP P3015 suddenly printing very slowly - about a page a minute

If you unplug the cable from the printer to the PC and print the MENU MAP, does it print slow or at normal speed?
If it prints slow, try following the directions below.
If it prints at normal speed, try removing the printer from the print queue and reinstalling it. Also, download the PCL5 drivers and reinstall it.
Good Luck.

Print a MENU MAP and a CONFIG page.
You will need this info to put the settings back in the printer.
1. Turn the device off.
2. Turn the device on. When the memory count begins, press and hold the CHECK MARK button. Continue holding
down this button until all three device control-panel lights flash once and then remain on. This
might take up to 10 seconds.
3. After the message SELECT LANGUAGE appears on the display, press the ^ button
until COLD RESET is highlighted.
4. Press CHECK MARK . The device performs a cold reset and then continues its power-on sequence.
5. Check all I/O settings and reset any customer-set device configuration values.

COLD RESET sets ALL control panel menu items, including network settings back to factory defaults.
This is where the MENU MAP and CONFIG info come into play.

Our iPF700 Printer is printing lines through color pages. Can't figure out why...

enter the menu, go to test print, perform nozzle check and see the print out, there must be 6 grids of colors. Check alla the grids if some of them are brocken then perform head cleaning B twice or more.
If the problem doesn;t go then replace the print head.

Not Printing. Reinstalled the software, reset printer to factory

If you are running Leopard, reset the printing system by control-clicking in the list of printers in the Print & Fax preference window. Then reinstall the drivers.
Apple Menu > System Preferences > Print & Fax. Control Click in the left area which shows the list of printers, and choose "reset the printing system"

Tally 2280+ printing in small font

The 2280+ can be reset to factory default settings by;

Start with the printer Powered OFF
Hold down the 4 buttons under the LCD display
Power the printer ON, keep the 4 buttons held down whilst the printer initializes, release the buttons when the printer shows 'Loading Defaults'

Prior to resetting factory defaults I would recommend printing a menu print on the 2280+ so you know how the printer is currently set up just in case there are any problems.
