Green ground wire grounded, amp grd message, cant trick

If you have the old firmware then all you need to do is ground the parking brake wire..

if you have the new firmware(just bought the system) a toggle switch is involved:
1 - connect e-brake wire from dvd unit to the switch
2 - connect a ground wire from switch to the unit chassis(any good metal grounding surface will do)
3 - pop in a dvd, toggle the switch back and forth 2 or 3 times depending on what wire you placed where...and voilaa!! your dvd system should work in motion!!

Correct, I had the same problem, I assume that this would work for both the NZ709 as well as other clarion systems that only play tuner (radio) and not USB, DVD, Bluetooth, or any other audio. THis is only with an Amp installed. I followed this advice connected up the Blue Power antenna wire to the Blue White remote wire and that was it.

It's not safe to wire at the cigarette lighter you must hook it up to the handbrake but after you connect it there is a few steps to program the screen before. You can find it how to in your installation manual.

it sounds like you have hooked the power wires up wrong try trace back your wires with this diagram

SOURCE: when i ground my clarion vrx755vd it still says audio only

that is where its suppose to be connected it that you dont have it grounded properly
