You may have a stuck DVD in the player. Most DVD players have a small pin type hole in the front where you can inser a paper clip to manually open the tray. Otherwise, you have to remove the cover of the drive to actually see what is happening. support hp com Maybe this link will be of some assistance.
The DVD mechanisms is defective,it's gears are not in alignment. The noise you hear is from the motor,it will continue to spin and stop if it is not attached to any gear
Hi
Its hard to say with what you have said, but if the brew unit was cycling slowly, it may be the board. Close the door and make sure that everything is in but the brew unit. Turn the machine on and see if it cycles the gear in back to the starting point. It may take a few minutes to cycle if its the board. If it returns its the board. I have some boards.
Open the computer casing to access the DVD drive from inside.
Disconnect the cable on the DVD drive leaving only the power supply connected to it.
Turn on the computer.
Push the OPEN/CLOSE button on the DVD drive. If it does not open, the drive is broken or the door drive motor is defective. If it opens, push the button repeatedly to open and close the door repeatedly to release any frozen part.
If the door does not stuck anymore, shut down the computer.
something stuck our dvd-door.
1. open the dvd
2. remove the thing that block our dvd door (like paper, tissue, paperclip)
or
maybe our dvd mechanic door had block by dust
-----basicaly, clean it.
in my case. I knock the upper top of the dvd door hard (but not by hammer, by my hand) while i push open button (the menu open/'open' word is display at the menu). if u're lucky, the dvd door will open
I've had the same problem where it wouldn't open. What I did was to push the button to open it then tap on the DVD door. If that doesn't work then you may have to push the button to open it and then give the DVD door a push to get it to open. That's what I've found to work for me every time it's happened.
Remove the cover of LVW and access the dvd assy, unscrew the 4 screws
holding the dvd assy to the LVW bottom. Remove the top and bottom shield
(also 4 screws)and remove the top black plastic cover (4 screws). You
will access the dvd spindle. Remove the dvd
stuck inside.
when mine has frozen up i push and hold the power/standby button for ten seconds then release then push it again and it comes on and opens as usual. or do you mean the disc is stuck in the machine after the door opens? maybe open the machine it could be inside.
