Channels are skipping

When I change the channels, some of the channels are skipped. For example, from channel 13 it jumps to channel 62. The only way I can get to channel 38 is to MANUALLY press the number 3 and the number 8.
Also, my guide is missing channels also.

Turn the power off to the receiver and let it run its course. It should download a new program guide at this time. Another thing is to make sure you are on ALL SUB on the guide as opposed to a favorite self created guide. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

How do I remove channels ?

Select the channel you want to eliminate, select one by one, and skip them by pressing the skip button on the remote control. Skipped channels will not appear later.

Everything work except it will not change channels with the up and down button and says that the channels are not viewable but if you enter the channel number it works

Hi, This sounds like it is not a problem with the remote, but more like the channels have been "skipped" in the tuning menu of your TV.
To Fix, enter the tuning menu on your TV and set the "skip" or "clear" to OFF for all the channels you want to watch, then the program+ & - buttons should then work for you

Skips past all channels after 13. CableVision

I don't know the exact step to set it because I don't know you model TV. When you go to menu set channels it should give you the option to choose cable or air. If you pick cable all your channels will be in VHF which is what you want. If you pick air the first 13 channels will be VHF and the rest will be UHF which cable don't work on. After you pick cable then auto program and you should get all your channels. If this helps you and I hope it does give me a vote please.

Program Blocked errors

I was having the same problem with the constant blue screen appearing with different error codes. Here is how I fixed the problem on my Elements 19": I did a channel search. I found there were 68 analog channels and 274 digital channels. On a hunch, I went into Skip Channels and checked off all the digital channels since I have basic cable. Although the tv is HD and did pick up the basic HD channels, I choose to skip those two since I do not have a cable box on that tv and only the basic channels were in HD (about 8). I watched my tv for two hours and blue screen appeared once every 30 minutes, but the next day it did not appear at all.

I concluded that those error messages are because those channels are blocked and we have not checked them off to be skipped. When checking the Skip Channels, as you highlight each channel it will either come in or it will not. You will find the "Blocked Program" errors are coming from channels that do not come in and you will need to skip those channels.

I hope you can understand how I solved my blue screen problem on my Elements tv. Good luck!

More channels

Go into the menu to the "Search" tab, channel down until you are on "auto search" then press "volume up"

this will automatically add channels you can get, you can manually change skip settings there too if you want to not see a channel you get or for some reason add a channel you don't get etc.

VCR plays tape with only sound and some channels seem deleted.

Needs the vcr heads cleaned, and get a universal remote with a menu button to change the tuner setup.
