Please recheck model number as KDF-50EA10 seems invalid/ incorrect model number and nearest match is KDF-E50A10 If model number is KDF-E50A10 then required lamp part number is as follows... Lamp compartment at right side of TV, there is plastic cover that can be removed by pressing its lock at top and you can see Lamp there. Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual page-87 in details. Click Sony Support if you need to download user manual copy of KDF-E50A10 Thanks.
Hi, Seems its time to replace lamp in your Sony KDF-E50A10 When lamp in TV got weak in result, standby light start blinking and if lamp got broken / dead, you will see lamp light ON. Lamp replacement procedure is easy and written in user manual, please buy Sony original lamp for TV safety. Thanks.
Some of these models have this problem from production. I would recommend to contact SONY and tell them the problem they may be able to fix your TV at no cost, since some of their Light engines have a recall but I'm not sure if your model number is one of those.
If you want to fix the TV yourself you need to replace the light engine and that requires advanced skills for this product

Your TV needs XL-2400 Lamp and it is available in Sony Accessories Store. (click and see) I would recommend to buy Sony original lamp for this TV and avoid after market or compatible lamp. Good luck.
