Could be a blown amp channel. Once the output transistors go, it doesn't matter if you disconnect the speakers or not, the damage is done. Could also be a voltage regulator, but not as likely.

SOURCE: denon avr-2106 problem!!!

You're drawing too much power from it. Sounds like maybe your sub is hooked up wrong, double check that.

SOURCE: Power Button Flashing Red

If your amp looks like it's going to work as normal (ie the front display lights up as it should etc), but then the amp goes into protection mode when the anti-thud circuit times out, then I know what's likely to be wrong.

It's one of the power amplifier channels which has gone faulty.

I just found this out after having this problem with my AVR-1906.

I took the amp apart and de-soldered the suspected channel power transistors (centre channel in my case).....and hey-presto! it fired up as normal (obviously the centre channel would be out of service).

I have ordered the replacement transistors from Farnell (UK) at a miserly cost of around £2-£3 each.

Just waiting for them to arrive.

An alternative is, if you don't use all your channels, take the transistors from a known working but not needed channel and swap them over with the duff ones.

Hope thats of use!

Try unplugging the entire unit and letting it sit for 5 minutes. See if this helps. If not, you need to do a complete reboot, which will cause you to lose your settings, but will probably solve your problem. To do a complete reboot, you will need to hold down two of the front bottons on the front panel. I'm not sure which, so either consult your manual or see other posts here which describe the reboot process for Denons. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: red power light blinking on my denon avr 1907,

This is a protection mode. The receiver protection circuit detects an internal problem like missing power supply voltage or blown channel and shuts down the receiver. You need to bring the unit to a repair facility.

IA THIS RVICE FREE I HAVE BEEN UNEMPLOYD FOR 2 YEARS AND IHAVE RIEND THAT I THNK AN D TEWORK IF I CAN DETERMINE THE PROBLEM

Sounds like the power supply capacitors have failed. If you can't replace capacitors on a circuit board on your own, it's time to take in to a repair shop.

When I turn it on it stays on for just a few seconds and it turns off with the red on syanby blinking , what's going on there?

try turning off for 30 seconds and then back on while pushing speaker, A & B Buttons at once. If this doesn't work it could be the capacitors in the power supply.

Denon avr-1804 its turns back after 5 sec

Disconnect all speaker wires on back and then turn on. If it happens again, it's most likely a power supply problem. If it doesn't happen again, it was probably crossed speaker wires.

Tower problems

You may need to replace the cmos battery, its a cr2032 3v button cell
Make sure all your expansion cards and memory are reseated.
Make sure all cables are reseated.
your power supply could be bad

If that doesn't work try this

Here is my fix for the dell dimension 4400 amber light problem. It works!
replace cmos battery.
then unplug power cord form wall about 5-10 secs.
then plug it back in, wait 5 secs.
If amber light comes on, press and hold power button until it goes out.

(with light out, press and hold power button while amber light comes on and goes off again holding power button 2-3 secs after light goes out.) repeat whats in parenthesis until computer turns on
it should only take about 6, 7 tries.

After the computer boots, you may want to setup cmos or boot into windows.
After you shutdown, unplug power cord for 5-10 secs then plug it back in.
Press and hold the power button, computer should come on.
I found that's the only way to turn on the computer.
If you shutdown and don't unplug power cord the computer may not boot, mine didn't.
Strange I'd say

Red LED standby button is blinking red. Amplifier is switched on and after some 5 secs switches off on its own with red LED still blinking. If OFF on remote is pressed red LED stops blinking, however...

There is a problem win the power supply. I would look for swollen/leaking caps and also any cracked , broken devices in that general area and replace them
