Ge profile counter depth imager dispenser not working, ice maker great below

I think that the freezer may have been too cold so I have put it up to a three in case the water line to the dispenser is frozen. There are no leaks in the rear of the refrigerator and the lines look clear. I am thinking that the door mechanism is broken? Although there is no green light going on just red when I push to reset. Help! Rachael

SOURCE: I purchased a new GE bottom freezer refrigerator

If the panel temperature reads 0 F 0 F it is in the "DEMO" mode. This is normal if you purchase a floor model. To bring it back to normal mode press ENERGY SAVER & ADJUST FREEZER together for 3 to 5 seconds until it beeps. Then unplug the referidgerator for at least 30 seconds. Then plug it bck in. That will reset the stupid computer and get it back to normal operation.

SOURCE: The door handle on the freezer of my GE Profile

Hi, Please get me the model # from the label inside the refrigerator and I will look this up for you. Most handles have a set screw that tightens down.

SOURCE: GE Refriderator model GSL25KGRB RB water dispenser no water.

Water line may be frozen right where it enters the ice maker. Or the water valve may not be working.

The water dispenser on our GE side by side Profile refrigerator is not working. When we press a glass against the pad water goes out onto the floor. The water will also not fill the ice maker. Please help....

Solonoid assembly probably went bad. Can purchase part and install yourself if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. Same part functions for both ice and water. Good appliance repair shop should have or be able to order the part

Ice dispenser will not dispens ice . light dims when pushed. ice maker works fine

It may be a good Idea to remove the ice bin, clean and dry ant the same time with bin removed see if while pushing the door light switch and the dispense ice control if the auger fork in the rear of the ice bin that normally turns the auger will rotate. Sometimes ice or water collects in the bin and locks the motor from turning and sometimes the motors go bad. Tell me your results, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Hi, we just purchased an 5 year old GE profile refrigerator with full door/bottom freezer from a private party. It was working fine at his house. The refrigerator has a loud buzzing every 1/2 for a few...

The buzz is most likely coming from the water valve that feeds the ice maker. If the ice maker is not being used the buzz will continue unless the power is disconnected to the valve. It does not hurt anything but can be annoying.

If the ice maker does not have the shut off handle (arm) to lift then a solution would be to unplug the ice maker itself. If you look at the ice maker in the freezer it is usually held on by 3 screws to the side wall. If you remove these screws there will be a wire plug that you can unplug and remove the entire ice maker and free up room. With it disconnected the buzz will stop.

GE Profile PDS22SIS ice maker problem

on the ice maker press and hold the size selector. This will put the ice maker into a test mode and it should cycle through. If it doesn't work your problem is with your icemaker.
