Power won't stay on-power light comes on and then right off again-

If you turn the car on, for a split second you can see the blue light and the small screen illuminate (not the 7" monitor)and the the 7' screen moves for a split second like it may open then everything stops and there is no activity. Does the same when you press reset. nothing happens when you push the power button. all of this will only happen in a split second when you either turn the key on or you push the reset button. it worked fine last night and today nothing.

SOURCE: Protection Mode? amp wont start

With your multimeter set to DC volts and the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp, touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals as the amp shuts down. If the voltage drops below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is dropping too low.

If the voltage remains near or above 12v, disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.

SOURCE: i have a power acoustic gothic series 1600 watt

There are really only two possibilities here. If you have the gain turned up too high then your amp will get over worked and will go into protect mode. It is a safety feature. You should never really have the gain at much over 50% up. If you have to consistently run it higher than that you are overworking your amp and it will either shut down to protect itself or you will fry it.

JVC LT46J300 Blue Light blinking TV won't come on all of a sudden

These blinks to standby light are fault indications, called blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch on, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. Count it. Visit this site. It has details about blinking codes to many brand televisions.http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/Pull up older posts there, either by its left side bar, or see it in Timslide option

My asb light comes on when starting and stays on. Lights won't come on , power locks won't work, power windows won't work, radio won't work. All fuses are good and car runs fine.

Those are all really common symptoms of the alternator going bad on those cars. I would have it checked to make sure it's charging properly.

I have 40''polaroid lcd(4011TLXB). Powers up like normal with LED changing from red to blue then screen turns black and LED remains blue. I've tried unplugging power cable and waiting a few minutes be

I also had blown capacitors on my power supply. You can see when they're bad: the tops split or bubble up like a dome. I changed most of the caps, just to be sure, and it fixed the problem. Careful of the larger capacitors. They stay powered for some time and can shock you pretty badly. Good Luck

I have and olevia 26 in tv..when i try powering the TV on.. shows blue input screen for a split second and picture goes out to black screen..not sure if still have sound but...i hit power button again blue...

There's a good chance you have failing electrolytic capacitors either in the power section or the inverter section or both.
Any caps in these sections that look bulged at the top, or bulged/leaking at the bottom need to be replaced.
If you repeatedly turn it off and on, eventually it'll probably stay on, but every time you turn it off, the TV will get harder and harder to start up until one day it just won't.
Sometimes you have to do the opposite to start it up and unplug it for some time and then try again.

If you aren't tech savvy, don't worry, read the rest of this solution and watch the videos.

If you are handy with a soldering iron and can identify the power supply and inverter / FM section for the backlights, an inexpensive handful of capacitors will likely fix you right up.
Match the capacitance on the capacitors. Go over voltage if you can, and still have them fit.
IE - it's not a bad idea to replace a 10V cap with a 16V or 25V or even a 50V, but don't replace a 680uF cap with a 500uF or a 1000uF (unless you are positive it's only doing ripple filtering, and even then, you should go OVER, not under the uF rating).

Most of the caps that go are 10V 1000uF or 3300uF.

I found some great videos of the procedure (for many Samsungs with the same issue) on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8l0AUj8QUkg&NR=1&feature=fvwp
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7b_nTaZYcU&feature=related

As you can see, this issue spans plasma TVs, as well as large and small LCD TVs and monitors.
The parts are cheap, and skill required is minimal.
Cpacitors are less than a buck a piece typically if you order online from a place like www.digikey.com plus shipping, and they usually arrive next business day.

I have a 1996 Ford Mustang GT 4.6. My car would start then turn off as soon as the theft light starting flashing, I tried disconnecting the battery, turning the key in both the passenger and driver doors,...

On the older fords the theft module has 2 plugs in them. You can disconnct one of them, I believe it is the right one , and disable the security system. Finding the module is the hard part. most are located in the middle of the dash.
