Usually the ignightor goes out in them. If you have a meter or way of measuring it, you can take off the front panel and it'll be on your bottom left side. You can disconnect it and you should see a short. here is a link to look at and it might help in the dissasembly prosess. By the way, when you 1st turn it on, you should hear a click within seconds down my that also. If it clicks it's very much so the ignightor. Pretty easy and cheap to do. Good luck

Hi We have a miele condensor dryer. It is working fine except that you have to put clothes through twice to dry. It seems to cut short the drying process and then you need to put the machine back on...

The first thing you need to check is your vent system. If your dryer vent is clogged with lint, the dryer has a hard time expelling the moisture.
Then, if the vent is clean, try using a timed drying cycle instead of a sensor cycle. If your clothes get dry using the timed cycle, then you might have a sensor problem.
Also, make sure your wash machine is properly spinning out the clothes. I saw that once before where the customer thought the problem was with the dryer, but it ended up being their wash machine's ATC switch adding water at the end of the spin cycle.

Good luck!

It just doesn't seem like my frigidaire gas affinity dryer is drying as fast as it should

Hey Car Guy,.. there are two factors that determine how fast the clothes will dry:
1- air temperature, Is the gas burner is lighting and heating the air? Just stop the dryer mid-cycle and feel the clothes - if they are hot, then the burner/heating part of the dryer is working ok.

2 - adequate air going through the dryer. This is usually where the problem lies. There is a lint filter at the dryer somewhere, accessed either where the door opens, or on the top of the dryer....there may be an additional lint filter somewhere on the exhaust duct. Check for that, and check your air flow where it exhausts outslde. See that the flappers of the backdraft damper aren't stuck closed etc.

If you have good heat and good air flow, then it's doing all it can.

The dryer wont heat up the clothes dont get dry everything eles works on it the drum turns ok the timer works also it just wont dry the clothes

Hello,Sam

The usual reason a dryer will heat yet not dry the clothes is going to be a air flow problem. What ya need to check is for a blocked vent and or lint build up in the blower assambly.

By far though a leading cause of that on Maytag dryers is a broken blower wheel and therefore no warm air is being drawnthrough the clothes,to check that remove the front panel and the front drum support and in the lower left corner will be the blower asm. check to see if it moves free and doesnt seem to be attached to the motor shaft.

Thor laundry system won't dry clothes I have a thor no venting washer/dryer combo machine, that has been working fine for years. Suddenly it is not drying clothes and instead, clothes are soaking wet...

I am having the same problem on a WD9900A. The wash cycle works great. Spins fast and clothes are completely rung out. Dryer cycle heats up well. Fluffs and heats cloths. At some point during dry cycle water is injected on clothes and they end up sopping wet; much wetter than after wash. Filter is clear. Outlet pipe clear and functions well. Possible problem with dryer timer? Or washer timing kicking back on?

Clothes still wet aftre drying cycle over

It sounds as if the wash cycle isn't terminated by pumping the rinse water out and spinning to rid the clothing of most of the water.
Most dryers sense moisture but I think they all will have a maximum run-time to prevent possible fires if the programmer fails to shut them down at the end of the drying cycle.
I would watch the machine and when it started the drying cycle, I would shut it off and check for surplus water that hadn't been pumped out as it should have been.

Not drying

I know you cleaned the lint vent but your vent hose is clogged or damaged and there is no air exchange thru the dryer Air can only hold 100% humidity. You could dry your clothes for 10 hours but the air in the dryer is saturated with water and can not hold anymore so your clothes wont dry. Check behind your dryer and Ill bet the vent line is damaged. The problem is the air is not getting out of the dryer. Check the flapper at the end of the vent line. With the dryer running go to the end of the vent hose and there will be no air coming thru.
