Sudden death in vehicle is usually based on something electrical.
Check fuses and relays with fuses. Check 1) spark on each plug in turn 2) crank sensor 3) coil 4) cam sensor 5) main relay. Put ignition on position 2 and listen at the open fuel filler pipe for the pre-pump operating. Listen for main pump operation. (If unsure what it is you are listening for remove the fuse for the pump and you nshould notice it being quieter) Check fuel rail for pressure (there is a Schrader 'tire' valve on the fuel rail for pressure testing purposes). If fuel flow is low then this could be blocked fuel filter or tired pump. Finally make sure throttle body is good and clean internally at least and that associated idle air valve is clean and working. With fuel air and spark at the right moment the engine should run.
My gut feeling is the crank sensor
Unplug the unit, wait at least 30 minutes before beginning work after unplugging. take the back case off, there are 10 screws I believe holding it on. Where the power cord goes into the unit, look on the circuit board and you'll see a fuse. Check the fuse, I'll bet it's bad. Replace with the exact same type. I have the same TV, had the same issue. I'm now enjoying it just as I once was. Good luck.
Remember to be VERY careful when inside a TV, there are power sources that are fatal.
Hello,
There are 3 reasons for 4 blinls
1.unit went to stand by mode because of h-pulse
2.Vertical defflection pulse stopped
3. power line is shhorted or power supply is stoped.
Solution:
1. check 13vdc on A board of powersupply stage
2. Check IC561 on A-board.
Good day.
There may have been some problem in the horiontal transistor. Also, Check for the zener diode that controls the supply going to the flyback. It might got busted due to the sudden supply surge.
If the LED is not blinking a code. You have a power supply problem usually means the horizontal ouput and regulators are shorted. Let me know if you need more info and include your model number and I can be more specific on what to check.
The problem is in the standby power section. Check the fuse, R607, or burnt IC601, fuse R612 and VD relay 601 should show open. Its possible it could be the high voltage area of the power supply.
You can try unplugging the set and cable and let it sit 4 to 6 hours. This is a hard reset.
If it still doesn't turn on after the hard reset and the fuses and relays are fine, and you don't smell anything or see anything burnt. Then you'll need to call a TV repair man. They normal start around $150-$200 to fix the set.
I hope this helps.
