1. Turn on the unit with the power button.
2. Enter PIN if required.
3. Allow unit to boot to the main menu.
4. Press the Tools (toolbox) icon.
5. Press the white down arrow in the lower-right corner of the screen.
6. Press the folder icon labeled "My Data".
7. Select the taskbar labeled "Delete Favorites".
8. Select which favorites you want to delete by setting a checkmark next to the name. Press the white down arrow in the lower-right corner to scroll through the favorites list. You can delete the entire list by choosing "Select All".

My Garmin nuvi 255w thinks we are in Belgium instead of in UK, so can't recognize British cities, and gives Belgian addresses for fuel, accommodation, etc. 'View map' shows the approximate...

You can try two things to try and get the Nuvi to act normally:

1) soft reset: Press the power-on button for at least 20 seconds - starting from power off. It should restart.

2) master reset: This will revert to factory defaults erasing all POI's, Favourites, Tracks, Routes etc. From power-off hold the lower right corner for at least 20 seconds while pressing the power-on button once. A question should appear to erase all user data. Press yes and it will revert to factory defaults.

Alvarion have no IP, u must give a IP-Adress with <SET IP>
u will have to contact alvarion customer support center for more help on this.

How do I delete my favorites?

To delete all favourites:
With the satnav turned off press the bottom right corner of the screen with your finger and while pressing it turn it on.
Keep your finger pressing until a pop up message appears
Press yes and all user data will be erased. This will reset all original settings.
If you only want to delete some favourites:
Press Where to, press Favourites, select one to delete, press Edit, and press Delete.
This way you can delete them one at a time.

Nuvi 255w is stuck on the loading maps screen. Computer is not detecting the device when I plug it in with the USB. Its not older then 3 years old andalready having issues.

A system reset might be the best solution but it will erase all your favourites. To reset With the power off press on the bottom right corner of the screen with your finger and while pressing, power on the unit.

I am on wireless network cannot hook up printer according to network magic it sees printer but does not print I have updated the driver

pls check the ip addreess of the print server
ping the ip address from your computer
by>start>run typr "cmd"
ping <ip address>
if you get reply.that means no problem in the connectivity
if it requset time out
check the cable of the print server

This will clear ALL user data.

Hold down all buttons in the following order. [Left arrow] <==, WHEEL, POWER. Continue holding down all buttons untill you see a prompt, "Do you really want to erase all user data?" Select "Yes"
