AiO Software NPI is coming as a message when I open my PC and needs the disk recently, whenever I reboot my pc, Windows installer starts running trying to install software, I have no idea why, so I keep clicking cancel,I usually have to cancel about 5 or 6 install instances before it stops, but I receive the error message that AiO Software NPI needs cd-rom or other removable disc in order to install.. i have the same problem and I didn't know it was tied to a printer. I have an HP 2570 all in 1 photosmart. Should I uninstall the printer and reinstall?

Yes, insert the HP CD and re-install the software.
If you don't have the CD, it can be downloaded from HP.

the AIOsoftwareNPI is found in HP all-in-one printer CD.. put your HP all in one CD installer into CD room. restart your computer, after the boot it will automatically install the AIOsoftwareNPI.
Since I don't know what exactly your product is I can't help any further. Sorry.
You might find it here, there may even be an ISO you can burn to disk if you don't have your old one or can't borrow one. Good luck.

Reboot error - did not come with disk

You could have a hard drive failure. In that case you need to get a new on and re-install the operating system. Depending on the operating system which i guess is windows XP you should have no problem re-installing it with a valid license. To optain the software you need to find it on the internet and download it. then use your license to validate it. Hope this helps

Start up problem

Download the "windows Installer cleanup utility" from microsoft --
After installing it on your computer, go to it from your programs menu and select AiO software NPI ... from the list of programs
presented. Hit the button to remove, don't worry about the pop up window that says you had a system error, just agree with it.

Kodak EasyShare 5300

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Since I am not sure of the details, let me offer a long review and suggestion. It may work for you, especially if the AiO software is not installing correctly.

If the KODAK AiO Home Center software fails to start or an error message appears, there may be a problem with the Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 installation. To resolve this condition:

1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add / Remove Programs (for Windows XP) or Programs and Features (for Windows Vista).
3. Select Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

IMPORTANT: If other versions of Microsoft .NET Framework are listed, do not perform this operation on those other versions. Follow this procedure ONLY for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

4. Click Change / Remove (for Windows XP) or Uninstall (for Windows Vista).

5. Select Repair, and click Next.
NOTE: A progress bar shows the repair progress.

6. After the repair is complete, make sure the Restart the computer check box is selected, and click Finish.

7. After the computer restarts, start the KODAK AiO Home Center software.

IMPORTANT: If the KODAK AiO Home Center software fails to start or continues to display an error message, completely uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and do a clean reinstall KODAK AiO Home Center software. The Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 will also be reinstalled with the KODAK AiO Home Center software.

1. Follow steps 1 - 4 above.

2. Select Uninstall, and click Next.
IMPORTANT: Uninstall ONLY Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. If other versions of Microsoft .NET Framework are listed, do not uninstall them.

3. Restart the computer.

4. Perform a clean re-installation of the KODAK AiO Home Center software:

a. Disconnect all USB devices from the computer, including the Kodak EasyShare all-in-one printer.
NOTE: Do not disconnect your mouse or keyboard.
b. Uninstall the Kodak EasyShare 5000 series all-in-one software:

1. In the Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP) or Program and Features (Windows Vista).
2. Select one of the following software programs from the list of currently installed programs, depending on which one appears in your list:

Kodak EasyShare software
Kodak all-in-one printer software
Kodak EasyShare 5000 series all-in-one software

3. Click Change or Remove (Windows XP) or Uninstall (Windows Vista).
4. When the Install Wizard appears, click Next.
5. Depending on the issue(s) you are experiencing, do the following:

- If you are experiencing errors with the Kodak EasyShare software, such as a Tricode, in addition to errors with the KODAK AiO Home Center software, select Remove, click Next, and follow the on-screen instructions for removing the software.
- If you are not experiencing errors with Kodak EasyShare software, select Modify to uninstall only KODAK AiO Home Center software, and click Next.

6 In the Custom Setup window, select Remove from the drop-down menu for the Kodak All-in-One Printer, and click Next.
vii. In the Ready to remove the program window, click Next.
viii. In the Uninstall Complete window, click Continue.
ix. Restart the computer.

c. Delete the files and folders that can interfere with the installation.

For Windows XP, delete:
i. Printer folder in C:\Program Files\Kodak

h. Before restarting the computer again, turn on the background applications.

i. Select Start > Run.
ii. Type msconfig in the Open field and click OK.
iii. Select the Startup tab.
iv. Under Startup Items:

I needed to reload my AiO Home Center software and no one seemed to have the correct procedure. Maybe if you remove & reinstall yours it will resolve your problem. This procedure worked for me on my XP-machine:
1. got to Control Panel/Printers&Faxes and delete the printer
2. go to your Hardware/Device Manager/Universal Serial Bus Controllers, right-click on USB Composite Device and select Uninstall
3. go to Control Panel/Add/Remove Software and remove the EasyShare software
4. disconnect the cables from the Printer
5. download from Kodak.com the program "install_aio.exe"; run the program
(I selected only AiO+EasyShare+Software Updater to load)
6. followed the prompts after the sw installed to reconnect the Printer cables
7. rebooted
