Error code f22 whirlpool duet wash cycle

1) F22 mean DOOR LOCK ERROR , this problem can be a) switch for open or defective b) loose wires or broken wires, test by continuity VOM .
2) adjust the Door vs switch very well for propely closed, and test the closed switch.
3) see if the color are missing and put in the WRON terminal.

DOOR LOCK ERROR

A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock it six times before displaying the error code.


Possible Causes/Procedure ??  Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door.

??  Door switch/lock unit failure.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check door switch/lock unit.
3. Check the wire harness connections to the door switch/lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU)

"F22" is a door latch failure error code. At the beginning of the wash cycle the door will attempt to lock several times. If the latch fails to lock, the washer shuts down and the error code is displayed.
In some cases, the error code can also be displayed if the CCU goes bad. There is a door latch relay on the board that controls the door locking mechanism. The CCU is not serviceable and must be replaced if defective. In addition, make sure all the connector plugs between the CCU and door latch are connected and snug.

This fault code denotes 6 failed attempts at locking the door. I have found that this code is typically indicitave of a failed lock. Check the strike on the door to be sure nothing boke on it, and if not get a replacement door lock assy for your machine. You will see the three screws that hold it in and can remove the front spring clamp from your door boot to give yourself access to the door lock.

Switch on the machine. Press and hold "end of cycle" button for 3 seconds, on the right side of panel. This is the child lock feature, do it again & it locks.

This error code indicates that the door is not locking. 
Is the washer door firmly shut? 
The door must be completely closed for the washer to operate. The door may look as if it's closed, but it may not be latched. Open the door and firmly close it.
Were you washing a large load?
Before you close the washer door, check for laundry items sticking out beyond the door opening. Leave enough space in the washer to allow the clothes to freely tumble. Reduce your load size if needed.

hi there,

the F22 stands for the CCU/Touchpad error. in other words, the keypad has lost connection with the control board behind it.

this is what you do:

unplug the washer
take off the console
check the connection between the touch pad and the CCU boad
make sure that nothing looks corroded or burnt
make sure that nothing is pinched or bent
unplug and replug wiring harness and connections form keypad to the CCU board

TAKE 3 SCREWS OUT THAT HOLD THE BOTTOM FRONT PIECE REACH UP BEHIND AND ON THE DOOR LOCK MECHANISM THERE IS A ROUND PLASTIC DOOHICKEY PULL IT DOWN ABOUT 1/2 AN INCH OR AS FAR AS YOU CAN AND IT WILL UNLOCK THE DOOR. I WOULD UNPLUG UNIT FIRST. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE F22 THING. MY JUNKER DOES THE SAME THING PERIODICALLY, I UNPLUG AND REPLUG IT TO CORRECT
