Question about Electronics - Others
I bought a new Pioneer 32'' TV last weekend but after a few days of everything being ok was finding that whilst many buttons on the remote worked fine (eg choosing input line & volume controls) I didn’t get any response when I pressed the TV/DTV/radio/EPG buttons and most importantly from the menu button. I was able to get into the menu via the buttons on top of the TV but in trying to sort the remote problem I inadvertently locked them by switching the ''button control lock'' on. So now I can't get into the menu at all to set my system up for my home cinema. Can anyone suggest a solution? (I should mention that for the first few days at least all the buttons seemed to work on the remote).
Ok try this first, remove the batteries from the remote and yes make sure you replace them with brand new ones, but before you do that unplug the tv from it's power source and let it sit for a couple minutes at least 3, then plug it back in , put the batteries back in the remote and see if you have everything back, if not I would return everything since you said you had just purchased this set, or contact the makers web site and see if they will provide a new remote since taking the tv back is a real pain.
